I think Warne should consider going decaf! 

Paul Warne at his first presser:
"I want to press, I want to get the ball back high, I want to stop counter-attacks, keep attacks going and for that you have to press, you have to be athletic but fundamentally you have to be really good on the ball and I think the lads have been really conducive to what we’re trying to do."
Athletic and a high press, being good on the ball and keeping attacks going are exactly how I want us to play. Let's hope we'll start seeing this on Saturday. We saw this sometimes under Lampard. I remember the Marriott goal at Old Trafford was the inevitable result of incessant pressure - we were unstoppable. They couldn't live with the waves of attacks.
I don't want to see us with the ball around the opposition box only to try to funnel it back to Wildsmith to start again. I don't want to see freekicks in the opposition half get funnelled back to Wildsmith to start again. Ditto throw-ins. If we're to be promoted we have to start looking in the right direction.

Buxton is listed back in the under 21s coaching staff in the club directory.

For turning up on his first day of work in bare feet and sliders - he gets my vote. 

Of course they want rid of him. What better way would there be for a new owner to achieve that than to appoint him as CEO.
For pity sake get real. DC is an experienced and successful businessman who has heavily invested in one of his passions - do you really think he would put someone he doesn't want in such a position of influence?

It’s seemed a heck of a long time over perhaps the last 3 years supporting a team that scores so few goals relative to our peers; wherever we have been in league. It’s the single issue that has eaten at me as a fan. If Warne changes that and we are at the right end of the table then in most senses, I’ll be happy. What has been frustrating is that I know we have had and have players with goals in their armoury but somehow that fundamental has got lost in a lot of theory and over coaching. (IMO ?) 
 
 

I'm really hard to be positive about this appointment, I love the open honesty Paul Warne shows in his interviews and there's no denying he's been great for Rotherham, I am just wary that sometimes, when you are a club legend as a player, and then go on to manage the team, it is easier to galvanise that squad and instil respect for yourself with the players.
I see it as it's either going to spectacularly flop or spectacularly flourish, with no middle ground.

So, in summary, bookmark me, @ me, and in a couple of years will look back at my spot on predication that Paul Warne will either succeed or fail as Derby County manager......

He used to, I miss the Knighty that you'd bet your house on scoring any given chance.

A back three of Chester, Davies and Cashin, supported by Barkhuizen and NML worries me. No pace in the back three and whilst Barks/NML are quick, they're not exactly defensively minded.

 

Think Roberts might be more suited to one of the CB roles as has a bit of pace the central CB for Warne is usually very dominant in the air so maybe as this
