Bill Clinton asked Monica Lewinsky if she'd like to see the Presidential clock. She of course replied yes. He unzipped and pulled it out and she said, "but that's not a clock". He said, "it will be when you put two hands and a face on it."

    Two great goals.
The rest was a pile of s****. We all know it and it really isn’t good enough. We need Forsyth and Nyambe back as soon as possible and the midfield needs addressing urgently.
Curris Davies deserved his warm ovation at the end. What a man.

Bird started running the game when we played with a 3 man midfield with 2 other people who can run.

The same gets thrown at Guardiola.
But if it was simply down to money, you have to ask why the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Roy Hodgson, Roberto Mancini and Pellegrini also couldn’t achieve the same success.
No doubt without the resources neither could achieve what they have done. But Klopp and Guardiola are the two best managers in the PL due to their coaching and man-management.
When they go, I don’t think we will regularly see 90+ point finishes again. It will probably open it up for Arsenal, United and Chelsea to really challenge again.

Good Luck @David from someone 8 years down the journey.
You will have some tough times and social services will drive you mad, but a stable, loving family home is the best gift you can ever give someone.
They will always appreciate it, even if they don't always show it and don't worry when they say they hate you in 12 years time, they will ask for a lift half an hour later, so it's all good.

Perfect is stretching it. I think they just expect us to have 1 shot on target in a league 1 match and not put in such abject performances when the players we have are better than the players most in the division have…

For balance, my biggest bugbear is that we don't seem to be trying to address the midfield issues and yes, it is frustrating, even for the so-called happy clappers like me. While I'm pleased to see Blackett-Taylor join, I really think we need to be moving heaven and earth to get a dominant midfielder in, but if PW refuses to let the midfield play their game, then would another player even fix the issue? It's a worry, for sure.
Anyway, I'm not going to climb on his back as there's more than enough doing that already, but I honestly don't see how anything changes unless we address this issue. If we do, I think we'll make the autos comfortably. If we don't, then I'm afraid it'll be the lottery of the play-offs with a team that doesn't always prosper under pressure.

I know he didnt sign them all but when PW talks about needing to sign players with the right character - what does he mean exactly? As it doesnt seem to be strength and a winning mentality.

I am just so fed up. There are just so many depressing questions about tonight, I dont know where to start really but as a starter what is going on with Wildsmith?

Agreed. All heroic. 2000 there even with prospect of an abandoned match but in hindsight that would have been preferable. And in this weather also - safe travels everyone

I use it on a daily basis. I’ll PM you to tell you more when I get a few mins .Having been involved in IT for over 30 years, there are in my mind 3 major step changes I have experienced in that time. The move  from corporate only computers to home computers, the internet and then AI. It is that big a thing.
Anecdote of the day for you. An old neighbour who was involved at the start of IT used to collect copies of Computing or Computer weekly (can’t remember which one). He told me this story about one of the very first copies ran a story which said that the UK would only need something like 3 computers. One for the MOD, one for HMRc and another one some other government office. Nowaday each UK household has more than 3.
