See also a lot of evidence now about the positive effects of microdosing  psychedelic drugs for treating long term depression and other mental health issues
We ought to be able to have grown up conversations about all drugs, seek to decriminalise and stop the politicians pandering to the reactionary and cyclical mindset of drugs must be bad because they are illegal
Not disagreeing per se, but is that more pronounced and obvious because they are so widely used and the impacts of them understood (because of their legal status)? I think most illegal drugs would have a detrimental impact on personal health if used in excess

Kinda funny that a guy I used to know who was a massive cokehead/pillhead is now all over FB with antivax propaganda because "he doesn't trust what's in it or what effect it might have on his body" ?

Is he mis-remembering the classic Derby story from the fuel shortage 20 years ago when they taxi driver filled 3 wheelie bins, and stored them in his front room. It melted the wheelie bins and seeped into his cellar. Cost £130k to clean up

They'd love it if our points deduction took us 32 into the red.

Exactly. Do that calculation again using players' salaries as the benchmark and I would bet that the salaries have gone up way more than admission prices percentage wise.
That's why football is in such a sorry mess.

Interesting - wonder if that's to do with the government allegedly announcing an outright ban on betting company logos appearing on football shirts, so 32Red are happy to pile as much cash into promoting their brand as they can before it has to stop?

We'll take it. We need the money.
I'm inclined to believe it's a "lets get good PR for 32 Red in the face of upcoming bans on betting sponsorship" than that they really care about our situation (or avoiding 32 Red help put club into liquidation headlines for that matter). Either way, helps keep the club viable a bit longer whilst we hope for a rescue.

I like the one where your current energy tariff finishes and they put you on the "standard" tariff which is about twice as expensive, as if people are going "yeah I enjoyed paying an acceptable price for a while there but now I fancy just getting totally rinsed. Thanks!"

Or the one where your insurance is set to auto renew "for your convenience and to ensure continuous cover" whilst simultaneously hoping that you don't notice they have hiked the price by 50%
But it's OK because when you call them to cancel they can miraculously do it at the same price as last year

Well EDF are a French state owned company. I believe it's illegal in Germany (and maybe France), for a foreign power to own any utilitiy business?
All the current tossers in the government worry about is winning their seat at the next election and where their next free lunch is coming from.

Because they did a "study" and decided that administration was the best path in the circumstances
That doesn't rule out the @CornwallRam hypothesis - in fact it sort of fits
MSD just want their money back - they have zero interest in DCFC as a club

It's the usual story isn't it?
It's capitalist free market when there is profit to be made, but the second it becomes a problem, the government have to step in and bail them out. The remaining so-called "big 6" don't have the capacity to suddenly take on millions of extra customers, and can't afford to but the extra gas to supply them - and suddenly the government are throwing our tax payers money at them
    Same with the CO2 shortages
I'll be amazed if there is anyone left after this debacle who doesn't believe the energy sector should be back in public ownership
