It would be a welcome move if it happens but you absolutely don't have the right.

Yes we do, we the fans are the life blood of the club, so we DO have the right, and Mel should man up, and stop running away, he loved the limelight when we was doing well, so now he needs to be honest with us the soul of Derby County.

Even if Morris did make such a “promise” you would have to be a pretty bitter or entitled fan to be angry that he has failed to do so.

Just stating a fact, not bitter at all, just fed up of people defending a chairmen, who as a fan cpuld see Derby go bust, is that ok with u. And Mel was always giving it the big one on talk sport, and the like now we are in the poo, not a sound fron Mel. So no wonder alot of Derby fans are pissed off with him, and we have a right to hear what the duck has he done With our club.

  3. Pleased to see all Major Derby supporter clubs are after answears, we have been run awfully for the past few seasons, and why have we a debt of 60 million that is unforgivable if true, Mel has alot to answear for, if the facts are that we are milluons in debt, then Mel has broken every promise he told us fans, he said he would look after this great club, and take us to the prem, his words not my.

Appreciate we all have views on the Daily Mail or the EFL for that matter but there is never smoke without fire. As I said, we can bury our heads in the sand all we like and just say these articles are rubbish and they have it in for us but I am sorry but these are concerning issues that are not going to go away and the Daily Mail are right to publish them.

My personal opinion is that anyone would be stupid to takeover Derby County. Our club is in an absolute state of a mess. What from the outside would look a great proposition is not so rosy for any potential investor, clearly.

My original post was demanding that the custodians of our club speak to the fans and tell us what is going on. I stand by that and action is already underway to further pursue this. I do hope other fans feel it more so now.

Stephen Pearce and Mel Morris have run this club into the ground. They are responsible for this and owe the fans an explanation.

The next thing we will see is Wayne Rooney walk and I do not blame him.

Again a post i agree with 100 percent, and if we are paying Cocu 8 million that is totally beyond barmy, but for the last few years Mel has destroyed a club he supported all his life, hope he can sleep at night, because at the moment i am finding it hard to, i am so worried, that there is still worse to come. Please someone SAVE our Derby County.

And he’s a fan and worse still a dictator with no checks and balances .. I rest my case.

Agree 100 percent, wth this, let the Mel lovers carry on defending a man, who has ruined our club,. my opinion, but i think the facts prove what a poor job Mel has done.

Is everything hindsight though? I raised the recruitment department issue years ago and on various occasions. Asked about how many players were signed via our scout reports? No answer given and clear swerve. I had a good discussion with him about 4 players at the time (Thorne, Anya, Butterfield & Martin) I think it was. We were paying them collectively around 100k per week. 400k per month so just under 5m per year. These players were not even offering us anything on the pitch and were either on loan or not being used in the case of Anya. His answer was that these players can still offer us something in terms of other value with youngsters etc - I mean come on!  Lets not even go with his signing of Rooney (under mining Cocu) & Jordan Ibe. Actually starting to think he signed Ibe because he offers value in the way we account - 7m maybe eh.

The issue has and will always be that Mel Morris does not listen to anyone else but himself. Pretty much like the managers issue, Sam Rush saga (proven in court he was wrong) and now Richard Keogh who again has proven he was wrong in court - no apology or hands up to say look I got this wrong.

Then you have the fact that he got rid of anyone that would question him. Where are all the high profile local people - Don Amott, why is he not welcome anymore?

So what you are left with is a yes man in Pearce and his step son in the recruitment department, jobs for the boys an all that...

So if anyone is wondering why its gone wrong its because of Mel Morris and how he is as a person. Ask the local media who deal with him, when he is not banning them for having the audacity to ask a question mind!

Fantastic post, you hit the nail on the head. Post of the season for me. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

Don't forget whatever plan you make.... If you get it wrong I'm going to criticise you to death because I want the best for dcfc and I want promotion.

No i want a club to be well run, be financial secure, and hope 1 day to make it to the prem, without gambling our future at being a club, make no mistake about it, we are in a financial mess, and we could  end up without a Derby County if things are not sorted soon, and who is that all down to, Super Fan Mel

Looking back with a critical eye is easy. Let's hear what you would do going forward from now?

Going forward, lets hope our new chairmen, is a honest man, and does his best to run the club in a sustainable way, lets managers manage and not talks a load of bull in the media, and not always be the talking point of the club, and put Derby first not his own ego, this would be a good start.

They're probably deleting as it's been said numerous times and times again and a duplicate thread, freedom of speech arguement doesn't really have any weight on a privately owned forum that you signed up for with terms and conditions either

Stupid answear, we are in massive trouble, because of our so called Derby Fan Owner. So lets debate what super fan Mel could have done better.

  10. Why has Derby fan Mel, made such a mess of running OUR great club, he has made more mistakes than any chairmen in a very long time, he took us over as a top championship team, good players, great stadium, and ran well from top to bottom, Mel in his time as owner has ruined us, Mods please do not delete, we have freedom of speech in this our great country, not up to you to delete this post, as its a fair opinion and not personnel in any way.

I'm sorry but I know we have just stayed up but the scenes after were pretty embarrassing and make us look tinpot. We stayed up by a scratch, we haven't just won the champions league.

Calm yourself down, every club would celebrate staying up on the last day of the season. Its want fans do, as for us being tin pot, you are tin pot, so please make sure you stay away from Pride Park next season, we do not need your negativity around our great club. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

  12. Well all i will  say is, Once A Positive Ram Always A Positive Ram, so pleased we are still a championship club , now for things to get sorted and quickly behind the scenes, a lot of work to do now, so hope the ownership of the club is sorted out quickly

  13. 9 minutes ago, Curtains said:

    IMo it won’t happen

Lets hope you are right Curtains, trust us to take it to the wire, but i have a feeling we shall still be a championship team this time next week. Luton to beat Rotherham, us to draw with Wednesday, and Rotherham to win last game of the season meaning we stay up by 1 point. Once A Positive Ram Always A Positive Ram.

  14. I love my club Derby so much.

And for me Mel has failed as chairmen, no need to get personnel about him i agree, been told he is a lovely man. But as owner of our great club he has failed, took us over as a club doing well, 6 years later down the line, after sacking far to many managers and talking rubbish, like the Derby way lol, wanting a team full of acamady lads, which is a tall order even for the top clubs, going into changing rooms, which is not and never should be his place of work, so yes for me Mel the fan has failed, hope he enjoys his retirement, and sees his beloved  club Derby back in the prem, and being looked after by our next owner.

Reading this thread, every single name mentioned would improve us significantly. There are probably hundreds of past players that could improve this side. Even the 'football geniuses' Darryl Powell and Jake Buxton would be superstars in this side.

I reckon a far more interesting question is, which 1st team regulars from the past wouldn't improve this team?

    Maybe Mick Coop? Any others?

Barry Powell, Paul Emerson and Alan Ramage who was better at Cricket than he was at football lol.

Scores gone our way other than our own. Could do with Sheff w vs Rotherham being a draw tomorrow.

Think everyone above us is safe now though.

Why we have a game in hand on Forest, 2 points behind them, and 2 points behind Blackburn who are in terrible form, still 8 to 10 teams in a relegation scrap at the moment.

I think we have enough to stay up if i am being honest with u, 5 wins 2 draws will see to that deffo.

  17. Now this is a very exciting signing think he will start as well, with Jozwiak on one wing and Roberts on the other, hope we can make this a perm if he performs for us, then we can let Lawrence go next season. Rooney will get the best out of him, I am sure of that. Well done to Mr Rooney for getting all these signings over the line. Rooney connections have made this a good transfer window.
