Go look at the squads of the teams promoted from this division plus the squads of the two teams currently sitting in first and second in this division.
You will find your argument does not hold much water once you do has if it did they would not have or will achieve promotion.

I grew up listening to the great (in my opinion) Graham Richards it took awhile for me to warm to Ross Fletcher and the Colin Bloomfield but I did and consider them excellent commentators.
I have yet and probably never will regard Ed in their class and am not keen on his commentary style but allows me to listen to my team play when I rarely cannot be there.
Would I prefer someone in the previously mentioned class yes but until then he does a fair job.

I don’t think it is. That was genuinely one of the worst performances I’ve seen in a long time. Our passing was horrific, we had no control whatsoever, and our only hope was launching it forward to James Collins. We barely strung 5 passes together all game. Carlisle played the much better football, and had the better chances - including hitting the woodwork twice and having a stonewall pen turned down.
Simmo said afterwards the Ref explained why it was not a pen....the ball came off the thigh to the arm hence no pen.

He certainly looks on paper to be a reasonable, beggars can't be choosers option. Mainly a right back but can cover centre back and left back, 25 years old and 6' tall. However lets not forget he was released by Blackburn and then given only a 1 year contract by Wigan then released again so Paulo Maldini he aint
He cannot be too bad with this amount of appearances
2015–2022Blackburn Rovers183(0)
2022–2023Wigan Athletic32(0)
He was also only on a one year deal at Wigan and at the time of it expiring they were in turmoil.

Match poor
Performance from both sides poor
Derby's tactics hit it long and chase it...from the stoneage.
Referee once again excellent.

He was also certain Smith fouled their player in the box. But it was outside the box and the player fell into the box.
I don’t particularly like hammering refs, but this guy was at best having an absolute shocker.
Ref obviously has eyesight issues he was the same Ref who gave Plymouth a pen at Home Park last season

Unfortunate for Thommo but it could be a Thorne/ Eustace moment...
Hopefully 🤞

I don't want us to spend money on JCH, but I'd be devastated if he or some other never heard players don't sign for us.
Yes, I'm just preparing for a good old meltdown for tomorrow.
Hang on for the meltdown "The window shuts at 23:00 BST on Friday 1 September"

Discussion on Radio Derby at six tonight on Cashin with journalist who covers Brighton.
Four bids made each a improvement on the last but nowhere near Derby's valuation in fact considerably less.
Could be open for loan back but they are unlikely to go past their valuation if not accepted will move on.
We need to know what that final offer is fairly quickly to bring this to a conclusion and know if we have money to reinvest.

If the useless guy is the head of recruitment then Warne takes some of the blame.
I remember when we were going through the appointment process and he was involved in the interviews and final choice declaring he was the best candidate.

Ok performance, Bird stands out like a beacon in this team currently so make the most of him before January comes.
Great to hear Chris Coles on Radio Derby reminds me of what a fine broadcaster he is.Also how much better the programme is without Ed Dawes.
