Shame he looked a player proper goalscorer injuries scuppered his chances here...... Best of luck Jack.

If I remember correctly he never said imminent he said he thought it was 98% done but you never know until they are in the building. The players club may have picked up a injury or they have received a better offer......Warne said in January things change quickly players may become available you had not considered and others may become unavailable.
He also said do not believe any journalist they have never got one of his signings right yet.

That's a good-looking team. My thought is there are 2 players we can't afford to lose for any length of time, and they are Wildsmith and Cashin. For that reason I wouldn't start them in the cup while there's an outside chance of challenging for autos. Chester was on the bench last match so I think he definitely should start this one. For me, if we brought Bielik back a midfield trio of him, Knight and Sibley is our best, so I don't mind seeing Knight and Sibley in their preferred positions like this. And good to give Rooney a run in what is probably his best position.
Chester pulled out if the last game in the warm up felt something wrong. Warne said it did not look good so doubt we will be seeing him

My picks for free transfer targets ...
Jordan willis, Jordan ibe, Sean Morrison, Michael Hector and Jerome Sinclair.
Willis has not played due to injury for two years... Ibe we know about... Morrison not played since February due to acl just returned to training at Cardiff under contract.... Hector left Oxford only played 7 times for a mediocre team... Sinclair a waste of talent a poor man's Ravel... Not played this season.

Got to be Hector the most money Roy Mac would be worth a fantastic amount now days but goalscorers fetch a premium

Decent shouts, on Josh Emmanuel "he went on to make 31 league appearances for Rotherham as the club earned promotion to the EFL Championship, and was voted the club's young player of the year." ?
If he was to sign you might want to skip his middle name on your shirt

Started reading this at 2pm today and got to page 79 by 4:30; it’s beautifully written & I thought I already knew a lot about Derby County history BUT …I have learned so much. If you haven’t yet got it I would seriously get it and read it. It’s brilliant.
Btw …& no reflection on the book, who took the corner v Palace when we got promoted - the one which Robbie van der Laan headed in. Was it:
a. Paul Simpson
b. Sean Flynn
c. Ron Willems
Halcyon days.
Answer's is Simmo

Just got a sneaky feeling Davies will return to CH, Now here's the conundrum, Do we play Forsyth at LB which will release/drop Sibley, Drop Forsyth for Roberts?
Would not be surprised Warne said Davies is our best header of the ball and Forest Green have Connor Wickham up front who is good in the air when fit.

Loving this proper old style rivals game

Exceptional game management from Hourihane late in the game buying free kicks, breaking up the flow and influencing the ref... Showed his experience.

Wippee! Another completely inexperienced ref lined up for his big day out.
Match Officials
Martin Coy will take charge of Saturday's contest and will be assisted by Anthony Da Costa and Marc Wilson.
The officiating team is made complete by Lee Freeman, who is on fourth official duties.
Coy has been in the middle for just four games so far this season and one in Sky Bet League One. He's handed out 10 yellow cards, one red card and awarded one penalty across those four matches.
Not inexperienced at this level been officiating at league one and below since 2017/18 with about 30 games a season.
Now the question is if he was any good why has he not been promoted yet.

Darren Robinson was talking about how it can cause a problem changing style and intensity during training and matches.
He gave the example of when Steve Bruce replaced Nick Barmby at Hull and changed from a passing style to a more expansive style. The conditioning team warned to do it slowly he ignored them and they had 15 soft tissue injuries in the first couple of months.

Looking for a positive..... Uuuuummmmmm oh we did not give a penalty away...
That's it

That is objectively hilarious.
Both were pens and for what it’s worth, double jeopardy rule is only enforced when the player fouling makes an attempt to play the ball (hence why Tomori got his red in the CL and why Davies should have been sent off).
But who cares. Up the rams and up the Osula.
(shambles by us at the back, slightly concerning)
Only applies if the Ref knows the rules which at this level they clearly don't.

Lots of effort no quality that goes for both sides, Forest very good at niggly fouls that break the game up.
