Massive talent at Brighton, played a few first team games but looks like he's going out on loan. Stoke and Blackburn supposed front runners by the looks of things though. Made first team debut for Bray Wanderers at 15 years old and their youngest ever scorer at 16.

Why can’t we find a striker no one has heard of?
Especially with this recruitment guy who is supposed to be so highly rated? 
Just journeyman old strikers being linked.

Am finding it so depressing that every striker we’re linked with is over 30.
out squad doesn’t feel any younger or quicker than last year. We’ve lost knights energy so far. 
these were all the excuses given as to why ended the season so poorly. 

There was talk of a relaxation of the business plan and small fees being paid out, but having raised maybe £2m to £2.5m in sales and 11 people leaving Inc end of loans, we don't seem to be upping the ante at all.
I'm not suggesting MM style frittering but I was hoping for a couple of real upgrades. 

Let's not forget there's a human at the centre of all this.
It was reported that he was going to go away for a couple of weeks to mull it all over. Perhaps Knight has decided he's achieved all he can here, and that a move away will be better for his progression?
I think he's done enough for the club for us to wish him all the best. He's certainly one I'll be looking out for.
And probably be scoring against us next season 😂

I genuinely think Jason Knight will stay, and possibly sign a new deal, or an extension to his current one.

I think of he doesn’t get promotion this season then Warne should face difficult discussions with Clowes about keeping his job. For me only way he keeps his job if we don’t get promoted is if we have a really strong season just miss out on autos and then lose in the playoffs, although losing in the playoffs would be a failure. We’re signing 10+ players in the summer, we are now undisputedly the biggest club in the league, we’re the favourites to win the league, last season was the joint worst league finish in our entire history and we’ve never been in this league for longer than 2 seasons. Promotion has to be the expectation.

Plus, as I keep banging the drum, we’re well covered with Knight regards to a tribunal - it should be one of the highest ever paid out based on the criteria. If we keep him, we probably are no worse off than selling him this season - it’s just if we want the money upfront and what is on the table. It looks like £1.5-2m which is almost exactly what I expect a tribunal to pay out. I’d imagine Derby and teams have done their homework.

Why is big trav getting so much stick?
He is providing information that you can chose to ignore if you want.
Whether he knows stuff or not is immaterial, it's a f*ckin football forum, and he's posting on a rumours thread. So if any of you moaners can explain where he is in the wrong, I'm sure that the rest of us would really appreciate the benefit of your wisdom.
Keep posting Trav, ignore the moaning minority, the rest of us enjoy your insights.

I second this. I've trusted Big Trav's ITK posts since he popped up on the board. I get that some of them don't happen, but he's explained it himself. These deals and negotiations change and a rumour is only a rumour until the contracts are signed.
I, as well as many others, love the inside scoop. I understand that there's bound to be sceptics, but it's part and parcel of the whole thing. TBF to Big Trav, he always seems to handle the consistent winding up well and when he does respond to a naysayer like Jimbo Ram, then it's with dignity and always level-headed. I'd have blocked him ages ago with the amount of responses to posts I've seen from him 😂

If he bothers you that much, block him or don’t read the thread.

Sometimes you get told stuff from a reasonable source, but it doesn't materialise. It doesn't mean it's bullpoo.
You can show people round, enter talks, agree wages etc but they still may not sign. Stuff falls through.
If people want certainty just wait for DCFC to tell you and don't read this thread.

Or I hear stuff and instead of gatekeeping it, I want to share with my fellow rams fans. It’s never going to be 100% correct because things change. But to call me insecure and lonely is just a bit rude to be honest 

I know it's likely we'll lose him but I'd genuinely be sad to see him go. I'd rather lose Sibs than Knighty. He's 1 of the only players that you know week in and week out will put in a shift and give us an option pretty much everywhere on the pitch. He might not score as many goals or have the tricks of some, but he does all that dirty work to allow the technical players to work their magic. 
He will be a big loss imo. But I guess my sentiment is down to him being 1 of a few here that deserve to see good times with us after all the drama of the last couple years. Proper good kid and an absolute credit to himself, his family, us as a club and what we stand for.
 
If he does go, he will be a great model employee for any football club. Never complains, just does what he's told for the team, and always does it 100%.

So what we're saying is that they have failed to get promoted with 96 points, more than any other team to miss out before. They will likely be changing their manager, and will be a couple of weeks or so behind us in terms of preparation.
Still, at least they got to cheer Peterborough winning a week ago.
