Sums up what most people think about us at the moment - we're an absolute shitshow off the field, therefore this must equate to another 11 Points season on the field. I don't see it that way however, the group is fairly close knit and the starting 11 with Knight and Bielik to come back is a mid table team - it just depends how any injuries and covid affects us through the course of the season. Happy to fly under the radar for now anyway if other teams think they just have to turn up to beat us - they could be in for a rude awakening hopefully.

totally professional yesterday both manager and players alike , all seem to be in this together which is a positive for Wayne , going to be a long hard season but with this team spirit and 2 or 3 more players added there is no reason we cant avoid relegation

Wasn't Rooney's biggest fan, even a week or so ago. But to see the crap that he's been dealt with during pre season with no funds, inability to bring in transfers and an owner who doesn't want to be there, I'm starting to warm to him and what he's about. You can see his desire to succeed and I do think he is doing all he can to bring Derby out of the mire we're in.
He's assembling what could be a fairly competitive squad and managed to pull a team together today that produced a result without having played together. Huddersfield aren't the strongest side in the division but you have to play what's in front of you.
He's got some games to win before he proves himself as manager but Im routing for him.

His 'name' would make it easy for him to get another job, there's always plenty of teams wanting a new manager. So it's not because he couldn't get another job that he's still here!

A big part about being a striker is scoring goals , the more you score the more confidence you get , more confidence = more shots , = more goals , makes sense to me.

I don’t go on Twitter, except once to give Vydra some support when everyone was on his back during Pearson’s tenure. It’s rather too full of certain types of voices who love to shout at people like like thugs in the middle of a mob whilst wearing a face mask, dark glasses and a hoodie
David, I don’t know you at all but for someone who, I guess is still relatively young, you are a voice of calm reason and maturity. Anything you say, I accept as being overflowing with the best of good intent.

I hope you have been able to ignore any vitriol from the wrong quarters.
Thanks for all your efforts. Fans and folks of reason are all on your side and understand the work you do.

I don't follow anything other than this forum, am not on Twitter etc so don't really understand the wider criticism you refer to. On this forum the only criticism has been of the really weird way the club decided to communicate with the fans. Anything you said would have been taken and analysed/rehashed so I get your concern about posting anything.
IMHO, the time has past, and everyone has moved on. If you have anything to add to what's already out there then just say it, but otherwise don't stress it, get back to posting as normal because life has moved on. The season has started and anyway from what has come out already its clear absolutely no one knows what happens next so please forget about it and join in with normal service.

I'm glad you are back, were far more concerned with how you were doing rather than reading any meeting notes.
You've let no one down, it's been a tough and emotional undertaking, as well as ever-changing. Thanks for all your hard work, and all the mods hard work too.

At the end of the day it's only bloody football. Thanks for attending, I'm getting the impression there is very little you could share that isnt already out there on Twitter somewhere.

Oh come on you've got to start with baby steps - we've only just got a full squad and half of them spend their wages on Farley's Rusks!
You can't say we didn't set up without intent to attack in the first half - because we had two penalty shouts turned down and scored.

But it's reactive not pro-active. In the final analysis, WR has said he wants the players to be more courageous, so he has to demonstrate faith in their capacity to be brave by modelling brave decisions himself. OK, for game one given the frantic and frenetic build up just to get a squad together but I want to see courageous management going forward. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Football is 90% confidence, but to be confident sometimes means finding confidence from the courage of your convictions not waiting for things to go your way.

That is true. On the flip side, his first touch was poor that first half on Saturday & his passing in general is slightly laboured or wayward. I don't agree at all that he's better technically than Bryson was.
He's popular because he's all energy, an honest lad & he got his head down and sought to improve himself when Cocu made it clear he wasn't part of his plans. I like him but like another crowd favourite (Bradley Johnson), he's a limited footballer & if we're looking to control games of football, particularly with defenders who aren't noted for their ability to play, then we need holding midfielder(s) with stronger/more consistent technique.

Maybe its a question of Wayne not trusting Louie to stay on the pitch
The incident he got booked for could have ended up a red if he had actually connected with the Hudds player
I have seen referees send players off for doing what Loiue attempted there because there was no attempt at the ball and could be interpreted as deliberately injuring an opponent = dangerous play
I really like Sibley and really rate him. He made a big difference when he came on and was unfortunate not to win it for us.
But until the red mist stuff goes from his game, managers can't risk only having ten men.
Thankfully his current manager managed to deal with exactly the same issue in his own playing career, and at a similar age, , so hopefully Sibbo is in good hands

I am really up for this .. and so should Wayne be .. this is a zero sum game .. we need to take risks, try things out. Fortune favours the brave. If our backsides get kicked it will be a pity, but it’s games like this that you can afford to gamble and learn .. COYR, cavalry charge, blood and guts, guns ho. No Prisoners
Get Sibbo up there with Kaz, give Festy  a full game, get Cashin in (if we can without sacrificing slots for loans) and give Curtis a rest .. we’ll need him later on. Go on Morrison, show us you’ve got some pizzaz

Here we go. People whipping themselves into a frenzy. I’ll watch it but reading the article doesn’t seem like he’s done anything wrong to me. Shows how easily football owners looking to get out can be exploited, Derby and Mel were nearly victims. That’s the main story.

Investors are not purchasers, for your further information they are investors, also any SPA would have a clause that the club was debt free at the point of signing that SPA.
Selling the club does not circumvent FFP, in fact if it was sold debt free that would render FFP non applicable.
Your faux outrage at everything to do with the club is very boring.
