Lol, Ferrari an absolute shambles of a team. So many different points of failure. Hammy coming alive it seems. Great fighting drive from Georgie Boy too. End of season could be quite tasty now, with Floorgate playing out in the background.

Oh Charles...oh...sad day for the title fight as i really don't think they'll blow it from this position.
Oh Ferrari...why, why do you do these things...came up with a title fighting car, a driver gifted enough to fight for it, a second driver good enough to be scoring regular podiums (ok a duff start to the year but carlos is a good driver) and then find every possible way to blow it. Even managed to get Sainz down 1 if not 2 places through bungling a pit stop then bungling how and when to serve the pen....
    Good day for Mercedes.
Bad day for Perez, thet should've been an easy 1-2 for red bull but both Lewis and George dunked him.
    Good job from ol Fred.
For the much talked about demise of danny ric, he's gradually being only mediocer next to Lando instead of truely horrifying, i guess.

Ferrari manage to impress me every race by finding different ways to screw up strategy. Joke of a team.
Checo seems to have really fallen away now, he had a spell of excellent performances and now seems to have regressed again.

Other aspects of life, like the climate change debate. The only solutions i'm seeing, favour the rich. I mean i believe we should all do our bit , but i'm not giving up my one big holiday a year, while being preached to by the rich, who fly 70+ times a year.

Yep there’s always been a bit of a glitch where you get more punishment for stealing money from the rich than say rape or some such crime but there just seems to be such a push over the last few years for things to get more uneven, covid kind of nudged me into noticing it more and wondered if people are noticing it creeping in more and more in other areas of life, some people seem ok with it ,
yes I know it’s kind of always been there but it just seems so blatant and in your face nowadays and very few bat an eyelid

The building/ planning issue is a tough one ,we desperately need more decent affordable  housing and if we are to build with the knowledge we have now regards energy / carbon going forward it’s a hard balancing act ,
in terms of the police I don’t feel they are at fault ,I honestly think the vast majority are decent people trying to do a very very tough job and have my respect for the people and situations they have to deal with, don’t think I could do it
I just think our values are disappearing, maybe it’s true to a degree the opinion I heard someone state that our generation and youngsters in the main didn’t experience the fact that those values were fought for

This would seem to back up some of the fans comments on the Chesterfield forum that suggest he has coaching aspirations.
I watched him play quite a few times last season and he appears to be a capable keeper, certainly good enough to be a solid backup. He's better than some of the dismissive comments over on the transfer thread suggest.

Isn't it lovely to have a squad with different options not just in the first eleven but in the formation and everything. It's so refreshing to see a balanced squad with options to have several different match plans that wouldn't look out of place being the main plan, not just shoehorning players left and right for the sake of it.

Yes to all of that. I found it particularly tough to deal with as the timing mirrored my dads sudden decline with dementia. The day we went into admin was the first "come now please" urgent call from my mum. Derby was mine and dad's thing together and unbelievably bad Derby news usually coincided with bad dementia days. Dad is now stable, settled and as happy as he will be in lovely residential care right near us and he still loves to chat Derby although often muddled. He has told the care staff some horrendous tall stories about it all! Attendance obviously reduced a lot last year in the circumstances (hence my total annoyance at those making comments about part-time fans - just count your blessings you can attend when you want) but was so happy to get season tickets on the first day of sale. Really excited about the season ahead.

So, we're starting to look back at Mel's tenure, the last few seasons and almost going out of business.
I have to say that the threat of Derby County, the club that has been such a big part of my life, being liquidated was mentally and emotionally debilitating.
Sure there are far more serious things happening in the world but I personally found it really tough to deal with.
Nevertheless, thanks to many people - especially David Clowes, of course, but also Rooney, Team Derby, everyone at the club, and the supporters (more of them in a moment) the Rams have survived and can start to look forward again.
So now, knowing that the worst is over, we can start to look back and pick out the truly good things that came out of the past year.
    The supporters.
    Unbelievable. Fantastic. Superb. Remarkable.
There are no words that do justice to the pride I feel to count myself as a Derby fan.
I'm so sorry that my circumstances meant that I wasn't able to be on the walk, at Moor Farm on relegation night or at Blackpool but my physical absence doesn't make any of those events any less than real stand out moments.
The petitions, the lobbying, the campaigns, the support from other clubs' genuine supporters was outstanding.
The togetherness though, between fans, players and club.... I've never seen anything like that before and I doubt we ever will experience anything quite like that again. Beautiful.
Knowing that Derby County has come through it all and survived, I believe we can now look back and say "that was a great season".
    Thank you.

Better listen to Dawnie on the league 1 stuff, after all, they have all that league 1 experience to draw on.
As for better than many think, oh, I agree, I think forest will comfortably get over 11 points. Not much more than that. But you've not got Billy Davies running things.
