Teams challenging for promotion will want a better defender than Teden Mengi to help them do it.

I'm yet to see anything from Teden that suggests he really is Uniteds next big thing in defense.
I'd rather we sign someone with the know how to scrap and somewhere help keep us up.

Why criticize Daveo when he is showing good judgement in taking the time to prepare a statement of what he believes has been said. He is not commenting, he is reporting, I assume.

If successive managers do not build on their predecessors work then it costs a lot of money to keep changing plan. Rowett has taken a few of our players to Millwall and they look capable of contributing to a top half finish. Rowett keeps it simple and does a good job. If we do not like his style then we simply sign a different kind of manager. This cause of action may or may not lead to an obvious improvement. Eventually you run out of available cash if you keep starting from more or less scratch. When a player moves to your club he may play better or worse than at his previous club, so you need to sign players that can play in the same way and fit into your club, otherwise it becomes untenable sooner or later. If players can come through the ranks this can save a lot of money but once again they need to be allowed to play their natural game.

People seem to forget there's a real person at the end of their jibes.

They said that when we signed a 37 year old Paul Mcgrath who had knackered knees.
He was Superb that season.
I've seen enough of Jag to be of the opinion that he would be a great signing for a season.

He is no mug at this level jagielka. He is the type of player who would play like a god against us, not lose a header all game, bully CKR out the game and run the game from centre half and we would all be on here saying how we could do with a player like him.

I would play Festy in most games for at least 15 minutes as an impact player. If we are losing by two goals then put the young players on. Chances that goal difference will be a decider are very slim.

Because there always seems to be a hidden reason why they say the phrase suggesting an interesting sub plot. This would potentially mean a twist in the story if pursued. I hope that sounds plausible, otherwise forget that I raised the point.

No expert on drama admittedly but in what way does adding ‘just saying’ to a post add dramatic tension?  It seems to do the exact opposite.

I think it suits Wayne to have had a massive exodus of players and then to train about eight players then sign whichever he likes. Genius from our Wayne Rooney. If he says that they would make a good squad then good enough for me 

Wayne may have pulled this off. Got the players in, trained with them. Thrilling last minute signings but already slotted in. Ten out of ten to our Wayne 

I've just listened to it back. He said talks with the EFL have reached a point where Derby can sign the players they want.
It might be that we only sign 3 or 4. Nothing to do with the EFL more our own finances.

Mel is a Derby County fan. The present situation is hard to explain and many factors have contributed to it. It is too difficult for me to analyse but we were twice very close to getting into the Premiership and things would have looked different now if we had.
