Jimbo Ram reacted to Tombo in The Administration Thread
Beckett at least sounds like she's got some fight and she's getting to grips with the issue. Think this is going to be a huge huge huge week for us.
Who even knows what will come in the next 24 hours? There's shots ringing out everywhere now

I honestly don't think Everton will seriously consider Rooney as an option - it rarely turns out well bringing back a former star player as manager, particularly one with no previous experience at PL level. They will have noted the recent failed examples of Lampard and Solskjaer - they'd be better off going for someone like Potter.

Have Boro made any public statement whatsoever to anyone about their claim? Look at the chaos they have caused just by sending an email to the EFL. If they were just asked by someone to make a statement it would be a start. Why doesn’t the sports minister ask them to explain their claim?

People raving about his first goal, and rightly so, but that second….! ?
People old enough to remember will recall Liam Brady doing us with one like that for West Ham.

Just ask them what the precedent is for this decision as there isn’t one…

So on the one hand, the Administrators are saying "We were going to name the Preferred Bidder but the EFL won't allow us to", and on the other hand, the EFL have told Andrew Bridgen (and others) that... "the Administrators haven't named a Preferred Bidder".
Which one is closer to the truth, because at the moment, I don't believe anybody any more.

I really rate him and recognise his great value to the team. Just think Tom can win us games with moments of magic like yesterday ?

Just time out to thank the Mods at this time. Cant imagine how difficult it must be to keep on top of the volume of posts also at a time when feelings are running high. Think we'd all be lost without this forum so thank you

I would think Potter would be a decent shout at this time for Everton

Not a big fan of ‘Arry but can’t blame him for this ?

If we were to get let’s say £7m for Knight this would be enough for us to complete the season. Am I right in thinking that the EFL could then allow us to bring in free transfers and loans?

Regardless of the Gibbon, surely the EFL will think this through and realise that this will open the biggest can of worms and create problems between teams that they simply won’t be able to deal with. I am hoping common sense prevails on this….

The issue is that they are not a class of creditor that can rank alongside proper footbal creditor items like player wages, unpaid transfer fees etc.
So unlike proper football creditor items they cannot trump insolvency law, and jump ahead of HMRC. And that's how it should be .. why should HMRC get squeezed out by these dodgy claims?

Jimbo Ram reacted to SecretDave in A call to action
I contacted Central News about the situation on Friday. They have just emailed me back and have said they're aware of the situation and are planning on covering the story tomorrow. They might be phoning me if they do. Hopefully from there, we can get this national.

I think any crowd-funding needs to be done through one of the recognised supporters groups - we don't want people going rogue and diluting any effort.

Well said. I know your views about Rooney earlier this season and last season. I was aligned with you at the end of last season. Wonder if Jourdan has managed to get himself there yet?
Fair play

I can’t see him being on Everton’s shortlist but I said the same about Lampard and Chelski. After a very poor start Wayne has done really well for us. If he is offered the opportunity I wouldn’t blame him if he goes. However, he could find himself in the same position as Frank if things don’t work out. He is producing something a bit special here and I hope he now sees it through.
