Shame i really liked him, his passion for the club was unreal.yes sometimes he went ott with it bit i like that, i want my local radio commentator to live and breath the club as i do.
when he started welling up the day we were saved and was talking about it on RD … that got me big time, think it summed up 30k rams fans

Doubt it, was probably a fluke or a set up that he just stumbled on.
Likewise with the signing of Gayle, I'm guessing it was just a chance meeting outside Padel, that can be the only explanation with nobody wanting to play for him and him having no pulling power.
Just hope our poster keeping tabs on such things has updated their database accordingly.

Our display in the first half was anything but toothless. Initially we had to match or better their aggressive play (which we didn’t do at their place) which was achieved. It didn’t “almost” work - it did. I didn’t think Nyambe was “gassed out” as you say. I think we had mainly won the physical battle which meant we could slightly more offensive. Warne has got things tactically right, on the whole, for quite a while now.

On reflection, the somewhat toothless display in the first half was part of the plan. We set up to give Stevenage absolutely nothing, and it almost worked, with the only real threat being the shot which Wildsmith saved. The other chance was a deflection. I feel that we did actually play pretty well, despite creating virtually nothing on goal. Solid may be a good way to describe it. I wanted changes earlier on in the match, as most people probably did, Sibley for Nyambe who looked pretty shot ("gassed out" being the Warnese words for it!) in th second half. But Smith coming on first was the catalyst because it changed how we played the midfield. So could it be that Paul Warne is becoming a master tactician?

Personally,I'll be quite happy with barks at CF for a few games...it's his preferred role and he seems to be coming into form now he's had a few games....
After that,we should have waggy and wash back too and to be honest,I'd prefer waggy over Collins anyway (he doesn't run around as much but that's an attribute not a negative)

In your opinion,if indeed you were there...I enjoyed the game,we matched and eventually outfought the opposition.
I'm happy tonight and will continue to enjoy my weekend, unlike a few on here.

Mendez Laing is pretty adept at the low hard crosses that Gayle could thrive on.

It's worse than that. Some people were clearly furious about it, because they were so juiced and ready to start attacking PW for mis-managing a 0-0 bore draw. Almost like being on their vinegar strokes and their mum walking in on them...😂
It's a curious and downright weird segment of the fan base.

I disagree with you in that unless we stood up to them initially we would have been trampled on. Our front play early on was poor. NML wasn’t on his game, Barkhaizen brushed off the ball too easily, our passing was poor. We wore them down in the end, they tired and we got our goal. Wasn’t a great watch apart from the stupendous effort that was put in.
I think our tactics and formation had them in disarray at the start, their coaches were flying around the technical area with bits of paper trying to work out how they should set up. It was quite funny to watch. Their main coach, a Steve Evans lookalike but 12 stones lighter, never stopped shouting and organising all game. Evans appeared every now and again to vent his spleen to the 4th official who did an excellent job to ignore him. It was as good a watch as the match itself.
But eventually our tactics paid off and we won the game. I think Warne and his coaches are far more astute than they are given credit for. Yes, it could have gone all wrong, but it didn’t on this occasion.

Just back from a game that I actually really enjoyed....the team really grafted that victory against a horrible bunch of players with a even more horrible manager.
Bradley was outstanding today I thought but there was no one I could really criticise a great deal.
Warne, overall, picked the right team and played the right tactics with this one and in doing so,nullified Stevenage.
Another 3 points well earned, spot on.
Oh,I forgot to mention the crowd today,we were outstanding 😁
