"He says €75m in his account is Spanish & it’s not blocked"
Is that like the "my girlfriend goes to another school, you wouldn't know her" of finance?

There were the short extensions for Johnson, Blackman and Butterfield - that would spread ~£15m over 5 years instead of 4.  There were the automatic extensions to Huddlestone and Davies, that's £3m over another year.  Not massive amounts, but not nothing either.
The bigger issue will be with not knowing the exact individual fees for players, so you can't account for contract length or when they were sold.  The accounts will tell us we spent £50m in a given year, but we have no idea how much of that will be amortized over 2 years, 3 years, 4, years etc.  And when players are sold, we have no idea how much to knock off the amortization for subsequent years - both Vydra and Ince were sold (for profit) midway through their contracts.  Various other players have left for various reasons too - Raul Albentosa sold for profit after a season or so, Weimann sold after 3 years, Abdul Camara had his contract cancelled etc etc.  We can't always even be sure which financial year a player was sold in, if it's close to June 30th. There's going to be a massive amount of guesswork involved in doing it this way.

Hearing from to many sources that the Rooney backed USA group might well be a reality with some actual serious money which definitely looks a better prospect than than the no money Spaniard, we will see

I have it on good authority the world is ending in the next few weeks. I wrote a letter to Boris to clarify the situation, but I’ve not had any response. That’s tells you everything you need to know, so we should all start digging bunkers and stock piling toilet paper again. If you don’t, your just denying the obvious truth of the matter.

Thanks this is it, he comes on here giving it the ‘big i am’ and gets snotty when we don’t all bow to him and his hints of issues. This site is full of intelligent experienced knowledgeable individuals and it is insulting to suggest any of us have our head in the sand.  His posts are borderline wummery

I think you are misinterpreting why people have selected that answer.
It is not because, as you keep claiming, they are burying their head in the sand.
It is because we are sick and tired of everything that is hanging over our club, whether that be failed takeovers, FFP or EFL charges and appeals. We just want to go back to the club being about football.
You keep saying we need to be aware of what's happening and we should do something about it.
No one - including you - is freakin' telling us what's happening.
So, what on earth do you expect us to do???

Can you blame them? Especially if what is read by supporters of other clubs are just the endless negative articles written about us by various papers.
It wasn't so long ago that everyone was rooting for us in a play-off final over a "cheating" QPR. Now the tables have turned. There's always the animosity towards the clubs that have splashed the cash to get up but failed, rather than those who were successful as they stuck two fingers up to the rules on the way up.
Lots of praise for teams like Leicester, Villa, Wolves etc in recent seasons for how they've done in the Premier League, with very little mention that they bent the same, or similar rules as we have apparently broken to get there. They were successful with it, we weren't. We're the ones who are vilified.

Anyone else enjoy the quiet efficiency of Jordan Brown, you can put him at right back, left back, centre back or centre midfield and he'll put in a pretty faultless performance. 7/10 or 8/10 every game.

Haven’t other teams fudged the rules to our expense. QPR for a start, Leicester City Bournemouth. What has the EFL done about them?

Excellent win after that difficult game last week.
Obviously influenced by the sending off, but I thought we used the extra man very intelligently and played some lovely attacking football.
That's been a great season for our young squad. ??⚽️?

Never could understand how Cresswell hasn't earned a place on the bench while we have been so short of strikers; that was a lovely finish.

I think whatever the EFL want the EFL get.
Is it just a coincidence that every time the EFL appeal they win? Does that mean that every person who sits on the first independent panel of every case is completely incompetent and isnt able to come up with a decision based on the information provided.
Strange as well that the EFL are able to appeal a decision made by an independent panel and if the original decision is overturned (everytime) the club isnt allowed to challenge it.
Cant be just me that thinks we have a legal system in the real world and then football that seems it's own entity with power hungry greedy barstewards who can change rules at the drop of a hat to suit.
One last thing. Why are we being so severely hounded for breaching rules that have seen us gain absolutely nothing over recent years and clubs like Forest and Watford can have owners who own 2 clubs and sell players between them for over inflated fees to circumnavigate FFP.
And dont even get me started on West Ham who can literally field 2 illegal players costing Sheff United their place in the prem, are found guilty and fined 10 million, but dont receive a points deduction. Then get given a stadium at our expense.

If you come on here and make robust, evidence-based criticism of Mel, you are likely to receive a mixture of agreement, disagreement and much inbetween.

Surely you cant allow your mates dog to crap in your garden and then kick off when you accidentally step in it.
The EFL signed this off as ok and just because Steve Gibson has kicked off and just because Parry clearly has a vendetta against Mel Morris, the club is wrongly being dragged through the mud.
    This really is so wrong.

Surely it isn’t as simple as saying that if we have to make adjustments, we fail P&S and get punished because if the EFL had done their jobs in the first place, as the governing body, they would have pulled Derby up on it. Derby would surely then have adjusted transfer plans accordingly to meet P&S at the time?

Swiss Ramble estimated that we were £34m within the P&S loss limit for the 3 years to 2017/18. If we take that as being correct and then include an additional £30m amortisation charge as per the Daily Fail reporting (and Kieran Maguire), we are STILL within the loss limit and therefore compliant.
