I agree.
I think there's not much to to be said by a protest that Mel doesn't already know. It's not like he's not trying to sell the club. The current pandemic ridden climate isn't helping us either.
So why not show support for the club, I will buy my RamsTV subs for the Betis game and hope to hear the Rams fans cheering. Much better to try and encourage what we have than protest and make it worse. For all lots don't want to see it we had a decent looking attack against Salford and it's only preseason. #COYR

It is vital to cut costs in football.
And if our club's expenditure had been affordable, we wouldn't be under an embargo or facing restrictions. Our financial situation tells us that footballer salaries are too high.
I cannot believe that there are not good footballers willing to play for £0.5m per year. If they would rather play for a lower level club for less money, or sit at home without a club, then let them. There must be some good players who will want to play for Derby.

Thats right. For obvious reasons an outgoing owner can't buy or register new players.
Also thought that this might be linked to the season ticket situation. Other clubs in our division are selling them but we seem an outlier in terms of not selling them. Pearce gave the reason as uncertainty around Covid but that applies to every club & hence I believe thats a smokescreen. I think its actually to do with the renegotiation with new owners that would need to happen should a large influx of new cash come into the club i.e. season ticket funds
If the takeover wasnt close & we were supposedly as skint as everyone says, why on earth would we turn down the prospect of a massive cash injection from season tickets? Makes no sense. I think takeover is happening in a matter of days...feel free to bookmark ?

I don’t know how many times you need to be told and by how many different people but, in case it has escaped your attention, he has been trying to “eff off” as you eloquently put it for well over 12 months now but finding someone daft enough, with enough money, to buy a struggling football club must be hard enough at the best of times let alone in the current climate.

<sigh>Asanovic, Stimac, DPFG, Carsley, etc etc - the best times being a Derby fan since the 70’s mate. Mr Pickering was not a fkn failure, he was Derby thru and thru. Wash your mouth out and have some respect.

There's a lot here that doesn't add up;
Percy tweeted on Weds we were set to offer contracts to Davies, Wisdom & Morrison
Rooney is playing a number of trialists 2 weeks out from the opening game with seemingly no certainty they can play in League games
Tom Carroll is training here whilst apparently having a contract offer on the table from QPR
Like the tweet Alan Nixon has just put out suggests, think there's a bit of politics going on & probably some media pressure being applied by Rooney, knowing the fans will direct heat at Mel & Pearce. My wild guess is that the takeover is close (some suggestion on twitter this might be the 'other reason' for not being to sign players) but wonder if some dispute over price/debts to resolve.
