I think it is plain to see there is a vendetta, absolutely.
We have been and continue to be punished. Transfer windows have been decimated, takeovers have either fallen through or stalled as a result.
If we end up with a fine Derby fans will hail that as a success, but just what damage has been caused by 2 years of charges by the EFL, which were laughed out of court at the first attempt.
The fact that rumour suggests if a new owner takes over any punishment would be less severe is surely proof that all of this is just a battle of egos and narcissists and it is a case of Rick Parry gunning for Mel Morris and it is us fans who are the casualties.

Their stadium is probably worth more than ours - their pitch has barely been used, given the amount of time the ball spends in the air.

"Everyones National laughing stock, Wayne Rooneys Rams, are again looking to scrape the barrel with at least 5 loan signings for the upcoming season. The usual plan of arseing about chasing the tails of good Championship players, only to be pipped to the post on every one is already in full swing, but they hope the advert in the local green'un will come up trumps when it comes to attracting capable loan signings ready for the relegation battle ahead"
    Better?

He doesn’t tend to sack players.
More likely we signs him and he’s injured most of the season.

It would be classic Mel to sign him then sack him.

My argument exactly...just what kind of advantage have we gained from doing what we did? If anything we have completely snooker ourselves by buying overpriced chaff and can no longer afford to buy players.
What the EFL seem to be doing is taking a club that is clearly in a poor state and beating it until it breaks. How could they ever claim to be in it for the good of the game.

I've tried watching it, I've tried being interested, but the standard is pretty poor, the goalies are rather comical though.
The BBC are embarrassingly over PC so will do everything and anything to shoe horn women into the mens sports as pundits (Alex Scott is a very good pundit however). Would be interesting to have a show dedicated to the womens game and see how popular it is.

Hey don't take my word for it, I'm hoping to God I'm so wrong and 12 billion dollar randy fancies taking over the mighty Rams.
I still think theres more chance of David Tenant dressed as Dr Who sitting in a press conference and telling us all we will be champions league in 5 years and Mick McCarthy is the man to get us there.

I'm happy to bet you 10 English pounds that David Tepper does not take over Derby County. If he does drop me a message and I'll happily pay, whether direct to you or a charity of choice.
If David Tenant takes over and appoints Mick McCarthy as manager then likewise, a tenner would be lovely ?

    Absolutely.
And, if Derby were such an attractive proposition, why are we dealing with chancers and time wasters?
If the American buyer/consortium have been sniffing for a while and if they were such a good deal for the club, albeit wanting to wait to see which division we were in, why did Mel choose to even entertain a deal with Alonso?
I think talks of multi billionaires buying us is a tad optimistic.

Well Alonso came with bold claims of champions league, spending 20 million on 1 player, 150 million to get promoted.
Simon Jordan said he was backed with very significant means.
You do wonder if there was a big money man who quickly realised what a fool Eric was making himself look.

I've been crying out for us to follow the Brentford model for many years, even before most fans of Derby cottoned on to what they were doing, purely due to having a boss who supported them. I did say that Brentford would reach the premier league before we did, whilst it hasnt happened yet, its coming.
The first bit of business they did which was pure class was to sign Andre Gray from Luton for 1 million and then sell him to Burnley for 9 million. They replaced him with Scott Hogan for 2.7 million and he was great until he got injured for them and he hasnt really replicated is early form since.
We were so insistent on having an academy where as Brentford are insistent on having a Brill first team and a ready to go B team.
    You live and learn.
