Sadly not surprising that this time of year is not all peace and joy for some, as evidenced when reading some of the comments. My prayer for you all is that you would find some comfort this year.
For us, with 3 small children running around, it’s presents and breakfast, then a trip to the park for some carols (local Salvation Army band playing) then lunch, movies and chocolate. We have lots more in the build up to the day.

PS but only if you’ve watched all MCU films so far, as well as all 5 spider-man movies from before the MCU, as well as the Netflix MCU series, and it couldn’t hurt to watch both venom films too. 
I honestly think this is a bigger event / nostalgia fest than End Game. 

I'm avoiding anything Spiderman related atm, I go to those with my lad who has just come back from University - we're going after Christmas assuming everything is all still open, otherwise I'll have to wait until its on Disney+.
Really looking forwards to it though.  I haven't really enjoyed the new Marvel films but this is a throwback to the characters we've come to know over the past 10 years so great to hear its excellent ? 

Managed to see Spider-Man: No Way Home last night. No spoilers from me, in case anyone is waiting to see it, but I will say it is excellent. I appreciate there are lots who don’t like Marvel movies or are fed up of superhero movies in general. As a fan of Marvel movies, it’s one of the better ones. Hope you’ve got tickets to see it early @maxjam

As we’re driving to my Mums during the afternoon of the big day, we’ve decided to flip the script this year. Going to have Christmas Dinner in the evening with the family. At lunchtime, all 4 of us are going to pick our fave foods and have a buffet style lunch. Fajitas, pizza, lemon meringue and pancakes will be on the menu, with a side of crisps and dip.

For this season, we should definitely focus on getting players game time who are going to be at the club next season (assuming management can actually determine that).
However, there’s still around 30 games to play this season at a fairly high level. Every game alongside experienced pros is a benefit to the development of our current youngsters. The more game time Buchanan has alongside Curtis and Phil, the better and quicker he will learn. Same can be said for Knighty, Sibley, Bird, Festy etc.

@IslandExile has already shared a similar line of thought to me. I agree with you that you wouldn’t a team of experienced battlers blocking the pathway of our talented youth players. But a blend is going to be essential. Play the older heads that are going to be here next season, while giving the youth a chance more often. Having a Shinnie alongside Bird gives him more time to pass and create, for example.

The point is the likes of Cashin will learn more playing alongside Jagielka or Davies. The older pros will be coaching the youngsters throughout the game.
Preparation isn't just getting game time, it's about being coached.

I get the idea, but there is no way that team would survive in league 1. We’re going to need to have at least half the team made up of experienced battlers. I agree with the sentiment of giving our own young players game time, to get them ready for more involvement, but that would be 5 steps too far.

How many have genuinely felt we would stay up this season? Lots had hope, but all the uncertainty made it impossible to be sure.
My view was as soon as the administration was confirmed, we were down. Even before the season I felt it would be a hard watch and slow descent to league 1. This news just confirms all those emotions.
However, this team have already performed way above my expectations. Blackburn was not a good watch, but I expected that the be the norm, so can accept games like that. And we didn’t even get smashed, even keeping it close at the end. This lot have shown they will scrap and fight more often than not.
League 1 will be tough. But give us a team that plays with heart and desire, and the fans will turn up. The fans have been pretty much sensational this season. As a North stander, I’ve had nothing but pride watching them sing (and bounce).

I would have agreed until yesterday, when we had 2 strikers on in the second half but no one to provide service to them.
Its all about balance it seems. Couple of creators, couple of finishers. Bit less ball security and trying to find the perfect chance (Ravel guilty of this) and a bit more risk taking when it comes to that killer ball/dribble.

Excited for this one. I get to bring my daughter to her first game of any sort, and only my sons second. His first was a loss to Villa 3 seasons ago when we played shockingly and lost. Hoping for a better performance and outcome for them this time!
Does anyone know if there’s any kids activities outside the ground before kickoff like they used to have?
