Tamworthram got a reaction from alanmarklewis in Post Cambridge Warne Out Poll
He might not be good for Derby, he might not play the football we all crave, he may not lead us to promotion but to describe him as “a disgrace to this football club” is frankly, a disgraceful thing to say IMO.

About as much chance as RoyMac5 voting Paul Warne as man of the year 😂

If we got promoted I would probably grit my teeth and renew, because I think that PW would be found wanting very quickly at Championship level and he would probably be gone by Christmas. The second scenario seems unlikely but if he had some road to Damascus conversion to attractive flowing football then I’d have to seriously consider things, but I’m fairly confident he won’t.
I just want to watch some decent attractive football and to be proud of the team. Remember how we all felt in 2013/14 when we were playing teams off the park and scoring for fun? I know we are a long way off that level right now but something approximating it would be very welcome.
Wanting to see some entertaining football is not a lot to ask after 42 years of following the Rams is it?! 🙂

Oxford and Lincoln both have good recent records in League 1, with a few exceptions. Portsmouth are amongst the biggest clubs at this level and have finished in the top 10 year on year since 2017.
They are all teams who aren’t immediate favourites but know that they are one good window or the right appointment away from everything clicking and being competitive at the right end of the table. If Bolton, Barnsley, Peterborough and ourselves don’t click, there is a window of opportunity for those teams.
The only surprises so far are Exeter and Stevenage. Exeter have lost eight or more important first team players and it has actually galvanised them. Stevenage just seem to have carried the momentum from their promotion season into this one and they seemingly have also benefited from some favourable fixtures.
Bear in mind though, the pressure of being at Stevenage or Exeter is a long way away from what it is here. Often it’s easier to play and flourish without pressure and go under the radar.
Also bear in mind, we are only 9-10 games in. We could overtake each and every one of those teams as the season progresses. The concern would be if we are behind these teams with 7 games to play, not 37.

Very self indulgent post.
Have you ever considered that we couldn't afford to release from their contract the type of manager you allude to, or that those whom were out of contract didn't fancy managing a League 1 club?
Cart before the horse am afraid - you should be asking why we weren't able to recruit a manager of the calibre you describe rather than slate the person we were able to attract.

He’s scored 3 hasn't he? 2 less than Waggy and 1 less than collins, same number as Hourihane. And in the youth teams aswell. Hardly banging them in

Average attendance in 2005/06 was 24,166. Does that help?

Look , we also hit the post , had at least another two chances squandered but most of all we got in a lot of good situations where we just didn’t play the right ball or enough quality on the ball ,
not really up for an argument, im just relaying how I saw the game from the eaststand, it was one of those bloody frustrating ones rather than one of those where you sit thinking the opposition are playing better than us and it’s just a matter of time before they score 🤷🏻♂️

I wasn’t bored in the first half. I thought it was quite entertaining, just frustrating that we couldn’t create enough good chances or convert the few that we did.

As less than 180 have cast a vote it also shows how polls are pointless unless a reasonable number of people have taken part.

Tamworthram reacted to Highgate in Simulation theory
If this is a simulated universe, then why make it so detailed and so vast? There seems too much redundancy and complexity in this universe for it to be a simulation. Seems far more likely to me that this universe is the real deal and simulated universes are merely an interesting philosophical idea.

FFS these poll threads quickly get tiring.
Lets set one up to demand the sacking of the next manager after Warne.

But you’re talking about your reading of the poll not the Rams fans you have spoken to. Also the poll isn’t whether we are enjoying the football or not. I’m not particularly enjoying the football at the moment but I didn’t vote for PW to be sacked either immediately or in the morning. Ask me again in a few weeks and my opinion may have changed. I’d love us to play scintillating football every week (or even occasionally would be nice) but, the priority at the moment is to get the results in order to get out of the division through promotion. Sadly, we’re get achieving either results (at home) or performances right now.
My gut feeling is that we’ll start to get the results (a view based on blind faith rather than any evidence) but I’m not sure about the good football we all want. I can live with winning ugly in the short term but not so much in future seasons.
