Its well worth clicking the link for the full interview.
Nice to hear him appreciate his role at the club, his future ambitions and how the team bonding is going out in Spain - I know that PW has his doubters but I really do think we are building something here.

Quite confused by some of Clowes’ comments in his interview with Ed Dawes if this is the case 🤔

They publicly transfer listed a number of players in the final year of their contracts. Bit of an odd move

A predicted line up based on the players selected to start. It seems they tried to guess the order of the back 3 too, as anyone with prior knowledge of the academy would have known who would line up where.
It started off with 3511, with Barkhuzien behind Collins. When Radcliffe came on for Barkhuizen, it was Tommo who was pushed further forward with Radcliffe sitting in the 3 man midfield. Second half seemed a bit more fluid. It was hard to tell if it was a back 4 with Moore at RW (with no LW), or if it was just the same formation with Moore pushing further forward than Moloney.
Lineup with players used in each role:
Wildsmith/Vickers/Loach
Rooney/Bardell Forsyth/Nelson Cox/Cashin
Ward/Moore Tommo/Radcliffe/Smith Hourihane/Bird DRobinson/Radcliffe/DRobinson Elder/Moloney
Barkhuizen/Tommo
Collins/Brown
The first game is all about getting players out on the pitch in positions they're familiar with. Based on the players available, 3511 was the best fit. With Washington, Mendez-Laing, and Sibley returning to the squad, we'll see a change to what we're more likely to use during the season (3421).

In my opinion, that's roughly the team for next season as it stands.
Going by the (?) on there, I'd say we'll bring in 4 more.
I'm personally not convinced that Curtis Nelson is an automatic starter. Saw him more as cover when we signed him initially but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be surprised to see another center-half of at least his caliber (or better) come in. Still think Wes Harding must be on our radar. Di'Shon Bernard would be a fantastic addition, but I suspect he'll have Championship interest. Joel Latibeaudiere would be fantastic but unlikely for similar reasons.
I definitely don't think we will allow both Knight and Bielik to go and not bring in another central midfielder. It's a long old season and I don't think Bird/Hourihane/Sibley/Smith/Thompson give you enough. If we can find someone who can come in and do a bit of everything that would be ideal, but it'll have to be someone who will drive the ball forward like Knight did, at least. Cameron Brannagan, maybe. Owen Moxon. Ovie Ejaria from Reading would be nice if they want to clear the decks. I think Matty Longstaff (Newcastle) is also now a free agent. As is Bradley Dack, Josh Onomah, Daniel Johnson, Sam Clucas and Tashan Oakley-Boothe.
As much as I am onboard the Dajaune Brown hype-train, I still don't think we should be going into the season relying on Collins and Washington with a youngster who still "needs to learn the game" to quote Paul Warne as our forward options. I think we're going to play with two strikers so we need probably two more goalscorers.
Ideally this is where I'd like to see us spend whatever budget we have, at least on one of them. I still think we're missing that promotion team goalscorer right now. Sam Nombe is one that really catches the eye at Exeter City. Then there's all the other names mentioned like Sam Smith, Freddie Ladapo and Matty Godden.
If we do actually have a bit of money to spend, esepcially after sales, there's always names like Johnson Clarke-Harris and Lawrence Shankland (Hearts), too. Colby Bishop (Portsmouth) was great last season, but would demand a fee. Same goes for Aaron Collins (Bristol Rovers) who would probably demand an even higher one!
The second forward would probably be someone from the free agent market. I notice Lucas Joao is a free agent now. Dare I say it, so is Britt Assombalonga, who is apparently keen to stay in England...not sure he'd be worth the wages, mind.
All in all, I think we'll see at least 4 more: CB, CM, ST, ST. A fifth may end up being some sort of attacking midfielder, maybe. But if we were going to play a formation with one of those, why not give Sibley a chance?

If someone told me five years ago that Louie Sibley was going to end up being our back-up left back I would have never have believed them.
Kinda struggle to get my head around the fact that the kid that was coming through the academy, that looked like a superstar under Cocu, is in this position.

I'm led to believe it's another striker, 2 x '10s' and another midfielder. Currently no thoughts of loaning Rooney out.

When he scored that screamer against Blackburn, Owen Bradley on commentary said the kid is special.
I don’t think Owen would use such words carelessly. He has more insight than most of us when it comes to the academy. He would have recognized the talent.
I know it’s only a game as well, but I’ve seen videos of FM where the likes of Bielik, Bird, Knight and Sibley all end up as comfortable PL players.
The potential was always there. Lewis McGugan at Forest was another.
Whether it’s down to application, motivation, physical strength, injuries. I don’t know which category it falls into for Sibley but I don’t think you can just pin it on the club’s dire state.
