ollycutts1982 got a reaction from 48 hours in Liam Rosenior
I’ve just been reading about how good it is that DCFC have a man of colour as our manager and how forward thinking it is of us. To me LR is a great coach and a top man to have at the helm and will take us far. That’s it for me nothing more nothing less. I’d never even thought about his background or ethnicity. He’s just the right man for the job regardless whether he’s pink, black, brown, white, green, blue or orange.

Nathan Ellington. Why have we signed so many strikers who were good for other clubs yet woeful for us.

You’re gonna have to be more specific - we call everyone duck round here!
Knight is too attack minded to play in a midfield two. Though I do agree we need to get him away from right back, and back into a position where he can influence the game more. Wouldn’t be against Oduroh starting after his stronger performance against West Brom, would give us a natural full back out there.

I don’t understand how this can be allowed. Surely it needs to be looked into. But I’m sure it will be overlooked. ?? it makes my pi$$ boil.

Jon Macken, did he ever score for us? I remember being happy when he left.

I wonder if we could attract Lyle Taylor, while we are on the subject of Florest players.

He's still contracted to Forest. Grabban is a free agent now, which is probably where we are looking for recruits.
I think we're probably going to struggle in the loan market without the ability to pay loan fees - we can only offer a platform for players to play in a possession-heavy side. It would be important to some teams, others I'm not so sure - especially when they could get fees from elsewhere.
Difficult - We've done very well to do what we have in all honesty!

Not concerned one bit. The goals and therefore wins will come. I agree with what has been said that we seem abit laboured in our play. LR yesterday was screaming for the ball to be switched many a time and each time it never was or by the time it did the space had gone. We need to take risks at times to get us up the pitch quicker. Usual problem these past few years that we seem scared to play forward incase we lose the ball. Many of these teams will sit and happily watch us play round at the back. We could quite easily have won all 3 away games and there wouldn’t be an issue.
One frustrating thing yesterday was at the final whistle a few “fans” shouting abuse at LR. Utter stupidity. I thought we’d lost these morons last season. ??. Very short memories some folk.

ollycutts1982 reacted to Sussex Ram in Eiran Cashin
When watching him in the U23s, I always thought Cashin lacked agility rather than pace. Once he got going, he didn’t get left behind, and boy did he use his momentum well in the challenge! But often he got turned, and he seemed to take an age to react. I also felt like he was always on the stretch to make his passes, always looked like on the cusp of losing the ball.
But the way he has played so far this season, he’s put a lot of that to bed. He seems generally quite intelligent positionally for a player of his age (a few examples where he was sucked in, but no one is perfect). That means he doesn’t need to turn as quickly.
He has also retained the ball excellently, with great composure- and coupled with a notably accurate left foot, he’s actually a decent outlet to the wingers at times.
On height- I met him in hospitality at the Bristol City game last year, and we were all surprised at how short he was. 5’ 9” is about right. I must say, he was so polite and very bashful for someone nicknamed “Slabhead” by Sibley.
Final note- we were in DCFC hospitality that day to celebrate, as my four year old son was coming to the end of some health issues. Eiran was great with him, posed for photos, and four weeks later a squad signed shirt and handwritten note from Eiran turned up in the post. Shirt now framed on my son’s wall. Class touch, that.

Ye it’s been discussed a few pages back. If the player receives treatment after a foul for which the offending player was carded he is permitted to stay on the pitch after treatment.
