So whoscored, a site that people love to bang the drum of on here due to how highly it rates the Cash, has him as the second highest rated RWB from last season behind Wes Burns at Ipswich. He had a higher G+A output than Bali Mumba who was in team of the season. With Burns going up and Mumba going back to Norwich, we've statistically signed the best RWB still in the division from last season. Furthermore he was in the EFL team of the season when Peterborough were promoted in the 20/21.

This is an excellent signing. We've signed a high performing player with promotion experience in this division in a role that was a massive problem area for us. On a free too. I'm very surprised so many people lukewarm to cold about this.

Who remembers Mr Cox doing a similar rebuild.

I really don’t think there were many/any who would have seriously preferred us to go bust and start in a lower league. I reckon many were just trying to focus on the (few) positives if the worst ever did happen.
Regarding Clowes, he should be everyone’s hero at the moment for stepping in to same the club from a worse fate. If he needs to pump in a load of his own money to win you round then I think you’ll be sadly disappointed. I can’t see him splashing the cash (and rightly so). Plus, regardless of his wealth, and how much of it he might be foolishly prepared to risk on the club, the remaining restrictions may well limit this.
Finally, if the announcement of a shirt sponsor is likely to have thrilled anyone that’s just weird. Shirt sponsorship is just a necessary evil (it does nothing to enhance the appearance of the shirts) in order to generate income. We should just be hoping it’s not a silly name, an ugly appearance or an unsavoury business.

This time last year we felt that it was crucial to keep Curtis Davies, after his performances the previous season. We now feel that this season was a bit of a disappointment and that he didn't contribute as much as we, and probably, he felt that he should have.
Any player getting to the age of these players, are potentially one season from their performances falling off the end of a cliff. Having said that, I hope Didzy finishes on a high at Notts in the lower division.

Could you outline your concerns? What is it about him that is a problem? 

Not at all  so many on here bang on about how good he is. I say he was outstanding when he burst onto the scene at such a young age. As the years progressed his ability didn't love up to the hype. Don't get me wrong he was still by far one of the best players we had at the time. Then he got injured and I don't think he ever really hit those heights again. And come on, he has never really set the Premier league on fire. So no  let's remember the Will we had, because it could be a disappointment if he came back

Why would you block the comedy?

It definitely wouldn't.  Some of the responses to this news are laughable.  How do people get through the day FFS?

It's not league two. It's Notts County. It's his club. He wants to retire there. Fair play. Could have stayed here for more money. He's literally just said himself that no other club he would have gone for. 
Internally they would have known about this for ages. I would imagine that Mcgoldrick has said "Look if Notts go up there's a chance I could go back there and I'd want to"
I wish him nothing but the best. Was unbelievable for us last season and without him we'd have been nowhere.
But that was the season of his life and we cannot be relying on him to do that again. We need 3-4 strikers chipping in with 8-15 goals each. We need wide players chipping in with 5-10. 
It's not just about replacing Mcgoldricks goals with an individual it needs to be spread. 
Other than Hourihane and NML. Goals from other areas of the team were pitiful.
But fans using this as a stick to beat Warne or the club with are a joke.

Personally don't see the problem. We've had the name manager multiple times over the past decade and it got us precisely absolutely nowhere. 
Now, there's no evidence over who Warne can and can't attract right now, but for arguments sake, let's say he can't pull in big names... so? How about we get a team that wants to be here to work and fight for the shirt. How refreshing that might be.

There’s going to be a few people on here absolutely devastated when it turns out PW and his Head of Recruitment have actually done their jobs.
