Loved it. Just stood there letting the emotions run over me whilst the pitch invasion happened and then after I’d taken it all in we went down on to get a photo with me mum and dad on the pitch. We stayed on there for the bounce and celebrations and then left.
One little issue - if anyone knows the 2/3 fans that went to the Carlisle fans giving it the big one (not those that were applauding them) just clip them round the tabs. Idiots. Just won promotion and they want to head over to the away fans giving it w anchor signs.

Dunno what people are whinging about. The fans invading the pitch literally always happens for a promotion. We aren’t alone in doing that.
fortunately only one tw4t went on before the full time whistle and our own fans got him off.
It’d be lovely to see players and their kin celebrate. Hopefully they’ll do an event at pride park like when we went up in 07 for that.

Sat and cried my eyes out in the car on the drive when it was announced the sale of the club had gone through and we were saved.
Was holding back the tears today. Felt so overwhelmed with emotions.

Daniel lad I hope you enjoyed it today up there.
Heard a rumour we’re signing an N Blackman in summer - probably nothing in it 👀😂

And what a match it was - I hope you manage to keep up to date with it all without being at the matches.
As pride park sang ‘d*dgy sticks are F’ing class’

My arse hole has been twitching since 6am.
come on derby - let’s get it done.
Everything left on the pitch!
None of us want our bank accounts filling with ‘just incase bet’ winnings.

The way I’ve interpreted it.
On the pitch before the final whistle = bad
On the pitch of promotion is confirmed = expected

Nelson has been solid in tier 3 but got relegated, last time in the Championship . Showing what a big step up it is . Gayle was the desperation signing - his hamstrings have shot it . We have to get quality in , this Summer to give Warne a fighting chance . NML brings no guarantees in the Champ .
Byrne and Marshall got relegated the season before we signed them from Wigan and they were good signings in the champs.

I’ve got £830 coming my way if Bolton beat us to it.
I’d rather not see a Penny of it.

Devante Cole is out of contract in the summer.
Would be a good signing for us, capable of playing at the championship level.
He’s been crap every season he’s played above this level hasn’t he?

If we're going to stick with 3 at the back, wing backs and 2 up front (which I think PW will)... I'd like to see a front two of Sam Nombe and Jonson Clarke-Harris! Pace, power, a history of goals and wouldn't cost the Earth.
If we go with 352 then you’ve essentially signed CBT and given NML a new contract for no reason?
I hope he goes for 343 if he wants to continue with 3 at the back - meaning we’d need 2 very athletic central midfielders to do what Ebou does to allow the rest of the team to do their jobs.

Perfect and much needed post on this forum.
Whilst this isn’t up there with becoming Champions of England, for many at your age this will be as you say, the first taste of success as a Derby County supporter.
Our opportunities for success are limited due to the state of the game. This could be the only cause for celebration for the next decade, plus.
Think some of the older fans need to appreciate that and not spoil this moment with the constant doom.
I have 2 promotions under my belt, Jim Smith and Billy Davies, even your post even makes me feel like a veteran, yet I’ll still enjoy this one.
Just booked a table down the local in front of the screen, going down with a bunch of mates who I will fit out with Derby shirts from my collection for the day.
To quote Paul Warne, up them beautiful Rams! 🐏
This - I’ve never understood people unwilling to celebrate because it’s league 1 or (a lower example the papa johns trophy) we are a league one team. We are a team eligible for the papa johns. Winning promotion. Winning a trophy etc at the level you are at is always an achievement even if you’d rather be higher up.

Anybody under the age of 27/28 has never witnessed an automatic promotion for Derby County.
Quite a sobering thought, really.
I’m 32 and don’t remember an automatic promotion because at 4 years old it was a blur - I just remember the radio commentary whilst dad did the ironing on a Saturday afternoon (too poor for a ticket back then but also a big reason I feel so nostalgic hearing Graham Richard’s voice) so I reckon you could be looking at anyone younger than 35 not properly remembering an automatic promotion.

When I see Sibley with a run and an incisive pass like that I just want to see him given 10 consecutive matches of at least 65 minutes in a more advanced position to see if we can coax out the absolute wonder kid we had for our under 18s.
Is any manager brave enough to do that? I know he’s had ‘half chances’ where it hasn’t been great but he’s always earned those half chances by doing well in a cameo or in the wrong position.
-
Brilliant run and finish for his goal and that’s why you play him but NML has been a tough watch today other than that

Seen on instagram, we’ve apparently signed Zyan Blake a highly rated youngster from F*rest
Got a screen shot? All I can see on social media is forest accounts congratulating him on making his b team debut aged 15 last season

I was a kid as well, it’s their fault I’ve had this life of torment.
Do you not spend hours reminiscing about benito carbone’s loan spell? 😂

yeah, they're ugly. weren't great at the time, and without the Errea badge they're even worse - and all I can picture is Ravanelli in them which makes it even worse.
Well I like them because it reminds me of being a little kid and watching us.

Darryl bless him. I still remember him marking Ortega in the World Cup. A thing of beauty and horrific in equal measure. Full on engine but exactly what I mean about needing technical players around him to make his skillset useful at a higher level.
I still remember him catching the ball in the middle
of the pitch 😂
End of season celebrations.

It was like a carpet!
Some effort from earlier on in the season when the rain had ruined it.
I don’t ever want to see any ‘bobbled’ miss kicks from our lads again 😂
