We literally didn't break any rules as they were written at the time.
This complex for taking nothing into account but your hatred of one individual is beyond strange.
Acknowledging the faults of other parties isn't absolving Mel Morris of blame for his own actions.

    Wycombe's claim is fallacious anyway.
By their logic, Sheffield Wednesday should have had THEIR original points deduction of -9 applied at the end of the season in which it was determined - 2019/20 - that would have relegated SWFC instead of Charlton. Instead, the Tribunal decided that the purpose of the EFL's regulations was not to punish teams by relegating them without the hope of saving themselves. So they determined that it should be applied to the 20/21 season instead (it was then reduced to -6 points on appeal), which meant that Wycombe finished in 22nd place instead of 23rd. Thus, Derby's PD being applied last season would not have saved Wycombe anyway.
I hope Quantuma are all over this, because Couhig's claim is the biggest load of crud out there, except perhaps for Gibson's claim.
Still, at least it demonstrates to a few people that claims that other club owners want to put DCFC out of business are not fanciful or a symptom of "victim culture". They're not trying to punish Morris now, they're trying to punish US.

Should recoup that easily when we sue QPR and Villa. Villa broke the rules in 2019 is he suing them ?

We can, and no doubt many will, argue about the treatment of our Club by the EFL all day, but what should not be lost today is that if Morris hadn’t put us in to Administration a couple of months ago, whilst clearly still a very wealthy man, and committed himself instead to accepting 9 points punishment for our P&S indiscretion, we would still have a Club today that had a chance, a good chance, of being in the Championship next season.
Morris bought a brilliant Club and Team, and in 6 short years ran it into the ground, and ultimately ran away to let someone else clear up the mess.

So, if stick to the business plan we'll be relegated, but we don't stick to the business plan we'll still be relegated, but with a potentially better squad?

So to be clear, Reading who have breached FFP to a higher degree than us will get the same 9 point deduction, but will not have had to put up with the same two years of embargos, denial of the COVID loan, repeated disciplinary processes, legal action from other clubs, being branded cheats in public with no ability to respond?
The EFL are a ducking joke. The process Derby have had to endure is so massively disproportionate to the breach that it's not even funny. Villa, QPR, Reading, Leicester, Bournemouth etc. None of them had to deal with even a fraction of the nonsense we have, and they all breached FFP to a greater degree.
duck the EFL, duck this season. Blood the kids, see which ones are ready for League One, as for the integrity of the competition? duck that as well. Don't care.

That statement is the biggest load of a*se-covering retrospective b*llshit I’ve ever read.
Talks about their dismissed charge on the stadium sale - of no relevance here at all
Repeats their misunderstanding that we assigned a non-zero value at the end of a contract, which we never did.
Trumpets the fact that the panel agreed with the EFL charge that we used non-straight line amortisation - which we said we were doing, and numerous accountancy experts and bodies said was FRS102 compliant. If they wanted everyone to use one method, it was in their power to write that in the regs.
Dismisses us being able to use the revaluation excess to mitigate losses. No reason given why.
Repeats rolling losses over three years. If we’d been charged on the first period, that loss would be wiped for subsequent periods (I think). If they’d said we’d overspent at the start, we would have made different transfer and commercial decisions to get back under the limit.
If I read it correctly, we can’t impair player values in the same way Stoke has done to reduce losses. Why not?
Everything phrased by the EFL to say “we were right and justified in taking this action”, but no facts to back up that claim.

    Disgusting really.

Hopefully they will move on to ruining something else now and leave us alone.

Leicester of course just continued to cheat and did very well out of it. Avoiding any points deductions.
A club now lorded as the plucky little underdog who made it big.
A truly detestable club. Their bin robbing fans refuse to acknowledge the complete cheating bastary employed in their rise from div 3.

Weren’t we told my Mel that we were within FFP/P&S rules? We didn’t have access to any of the financial details to dispute the assurances he was giving us.

We are of one mind I think. There is no doubt to me that force majeur is a huge mitigating factor in the admin case and thus 12 points is unjust. It is also clear that we probably deserve some deductions for P and S … what we aren’t due is multi season punishments via a vindictive unjustified process designed to continue attacking us season after season which is so disproportionate it verges on farce.

Sure it is. And technically you were right in your post,  yet when it’s in print, you so often do it with a smart ass sneer that it gets people’s backs up.
A famous manager once said “The first rule of intelligence is to remember the other person isn’t stupid.”
If you think anyone of us, (even the most happy clappy gung-ho optimists) doesn’t realise we have a monumental never before achieved task then you do think we are all stupid ! We’re not - but we are supporters and need hope - however faint.

    I've said it since he's been here. He's a 1 in 8 player.
Will turn up, have a decent game, score a goal and then you won't see him again. Every season.
To make him captain was bizarre. Admittedly Davies & Jagielka weren't signed at that point. But Shinnie was here. So at that time I would have given it to Shinnie.
We never hear from him either. After a poor game or a difficult defeat, it's the same players who front up. Curtis Davies, Graeme Shinnie and last night it was Jagielka.
Davies had posted something on Instagram.
That's a captain. A captain is someone who says, lads this was awful today, we're gonna get some stick here. I'll be the one that fronts up and faces the media.
    Never ever does.
His contract is up in the summer. The sooner he's out of this football club. The better.
We're a better team without him in it.

@Big Trav if you were looking for token love and appreciation you should have spent your money in Barnsley going to a brothel.
For what worth, I think this set of players do genuinely care about the club and performance. They are just not very good. In my view we currently only have 5 proper footballers. The two centre backs and our big No. 9 are, however, all some 5 years or more past their prime, Morrison is an enigma, and Bird is only 20/21. I have hopes Knight might make a footballer too, but he does need to work on his quality.
To turn on our players now is a travesty Trav. Get behind them. They are not very good, but they are what we have. If you want to be irked, focus your thoughts on the bloke who left us in this complete mess.

It’s virtually impossible sack him as the administrators aren't going to get rid. I said at the start of the season that Wayne had to hit the ground running because he has no credit in the bank after last season.
But administration happened, he said some nice things and the fans needed someone to rally around so he got a lot of good will.
Up to now it has masked over just how bad a manager he his. His fans will say he’s had an impossible job, stick with him but I’ll tell you this we will definitely be relegated with Rooney at the helm. I even think we’ll go down if we get our 12 points back.

Right now he’s giving any new owner no reason whatsoever to keep him.
I don’t care if it’s an unpopular opinion but he is not a good manager.

At the beginning of the season they were told to clamp down on it, and I think in one of our games (when we were the guilty party) 7 minutes were added. Seems to have slipped a bit as the season has gone on.
How their goalkeeper didn't get booked for time-wasting, I'll never know. But I clap when Roos or Allsop dive on the ball, so I am a bit of a hypocrite.
Blackburn were particularly blatant with it, I thought.
