Oh Yes maybe, but you know a lot of our recent history might have been a bit different with a George Thorne or Will Hughes on the pitch in their pomp.

We didn’t beat them but we went to their bastion, The league leaders on a 7 game winning run with our squad of youngsters and knurled old boogers, threadbare squad having been kicked in the nuts … and we came away intact ..”good point” no ! Excellent, courageous point of the first order.

If anybody has a kid who is playing as a defensive player then you need to show them the performance of the back four tonight, but especially Jags and Davies.
It was a masterclass in watching the game and positioning by those two old pros, absolutely brilliant

Fantastic point, can't believe we've got 4 points from these last 2 games.
Had to dig in at times second half (esp the passage that ended with Davies' clearance off the line) but thought we deserved a point overall. Played some nice stuff at times first half & Lawrence was a real threat to them. Thought the balance of midfield was really good too...we did expect Fulham to dominate the ball but Bird & Thompson were able to relieve pressure by holding onto the ball or one touch passing out of danger. Knight & Shinnie obviously grafted & Ebosele was there to keep Fulham wary of a burst of pace...hope his injury isn't serious.
Unbelievable backing from our fans tonight by the way...it was non-stop. Absolute class ?

In all seriousness, tonight was one of those performances to be proud of.
Did we ride our luck? Yeah of course, but everyone has a bit of luck to help them along the way, about time we had some.
The players battled until the end, you can't ask much more than that. Whilst it was largely backs against the walls we did create chances, the ball in decent areas.
    Point well earned.
4pts from Bournemouth and Fulham is incredible, it's games like these which give us that hope and let us dream what appears to be the impossible.

What a brilliant hard fought point that is. Jags, Davis, and Roos were immense.  Byrne shouldn't be able to compete with some of those units he's up against, but he saved us on more than one occasion tonight. Forsyth came back In and didn't let anybody down.
The rest of team grafted and fought once again and we can only hope Wayne gives them all a steady couple of days to recover from the knocks and graft they've put in over the last 2 games.

As an aside can I just say where has Thompson come from ? The way he's slotted into the midfield like he has been there all season in 2 of the hardest games of the season is seriously impressive. One of the things that I really really like about him is he's consistently moving to provide the passer an option.

IF Fulham had scored in the last 10/15 mins, it could be argued 1-0 was a fair result, on the balance of play.
But you have to say that was a fantastic effort for the away team, a hard earned point, and every single Derby head can be held high tonight.
What an absolutely marvellous but unexpected 4 points from those last two games.

Well done to all of them and the away fans.
That's 4 points where i expected 0 for us, and most heartening, no sign whatsoever that this team are just going to shug and say "it's over" whilst awaiting moves away or avoiding injury until league one starts.
Fight to the end my boys.

0-0 away against the league leaders who have won 7 on the spin and scored 25(!) goals in those 7 games.

Hairs on the back of the neck job when that rang out. Also, when the Bournemouth fans sang "We're Bournemouth, we're top of the league" and the instant reply of, "We're Derby County, we don't give a duck".......superb, proud every game of the Derby fans this season.

    Much prefer this to the
    'Duck the EFL' or
'The Rams are staying up!' Chants

It can be sung with passion by everyone and as @Ellafellasays I think the players responded to it

There were a few rubbish chants started on Sunday but they seemed to be quickly drowned out by more positive ones, presumably from supporters nearby.
I think we have a small minority of noisy fans who are disrespectful of everything and everyone - they are just thugs really and hide behind being at a game to do this stuff. If they're not chanting, they are threatening opposition or their own supporters or generally abusing staff at grounds.
I wish we could weed them out but it appears very difficult. But I don't think they are representative of most Derby fans.
I love the positivity of the vast majority of our supporters and think the South Stand have been brilliant this season.

It's a shame the players that left who could have been worth massive fees- Gordon, Delap didn't sign pro terms with us even if they wanted to go elsewhere.. at least Bellingham had the class to do that..ensuring that the club that got him to where he was should profit from him moving on..

It's been 13 years since the EPPP (Elite Player Performance Plan) was put into place.
When you look at Kellyman yesterday, he's been at the club since the age of 7. That's 9 years and only 4 years into the EPPP. The players we now bring through and others that are coming through show you that the DCFC Cat1 academy is working but things don't happen overnight. You have to wait for the players to mature.
This IMO is one of the reasons any new owner coming in is so keen to get hold of the club, because the foundations are solid to kick on and it's not going to take much to move us forward.
We compete at most levels in the academy, we just need to be top half Championship or Premier League to really see it working. But any talk of it's not working or we should scrap it are ridiculous.

    Welcome.
can we send you an invoice for overspending when you went up to the Prem.  It was rather unsportsmanlike and to be honest we need the cash at the moment.
Mind you, the linesman having an off day not seeing our off side player for our winning goal does go a little towards settling the matter.
let us win at yours and we’ll call it quits ?
