If 4000 supporters donate the price of one match ticket £25 we would raise the 100k. I would gladly do it. Think it would say a lot and raise a lot of positive publicity if paid with an open letter to the press stating our disgust at the way the efl are behaving. Any money raised over the target sum to be donated to breast and prostrate cancer research. I would gladly pay.

Mistakes have been made no doubt about it but the EFL seem to be obsessed with getting the harshest and most damaging and inconvenient penalty for us and there is seemingly precious little we can do about it. Surely nothing will be sorted ownership-wise while this nonsense is going on so it looks like we are set for a world of pain for the immediate future.
I'll just have to comfort myself with a thought of some future date when we bounce back, win the Championship playoffs at Wembley and to an ear-splitting massively public rendition of 'Feck the EFL' by thousands of Rams fans, the Derby skipper, 'Local lad X' receives the EFL trophy and just chucks it on the ground and just walks off to celebrate with the fans.

Agree wholly with the first part of your post.
However, it makes me want to stand up and be counted in support of my club.

Fair enough and that is why the current suggested punishment fits that oversight. The EFL could Zalsohave accepted this and then looked at the revised accounts if they wanted another bite at the cherry.

The club statement certainly shows a modicum of professionalism and respect. There are clearly guidelines with which this scenario should be made public and we as Derby County are behaving appropriately in spite of the worst efforts of the EFL.

    to quote the club..
”Although the Disciplinary Commission has yet to publish its full written reasons for its Decision, the EFL issued a press release about it and the fixture list last night. The Club is disappointed that the EFL has not, as is usual, waited until after the publication of the Disciplinary Commission’s reasons nor agreed a statement with the Club and in addition has chosen to be selective about the Decision and present it in a form which omit key dates and details, which the Club has provided by way of clarity above.”
The way in which the EFL have released the results to the media and therefore the public domain shows their clear and utter contempt and disregard for Derby County a founding member of what  their organisation is built upon.
DCFC on the other hand in their response the have acted exactly as I would like and expect them to, professionally and factually. Well done DCFC, keep your dignity and let the EFL continue to threaten all manner of courses of action and appeal their own appeals like the spoilt children that appear to be.
They as an organisation are showing themselves up at ever turn, just simply embarrassing.

Let’s see this for what it is, a vendetta against Mel Morris and Derby County from the EFL for having the audacity to stand up to them over the TV money and threaten a Premier League 2 which other club owners backed him on, and a vendetta from Steve Gibson and Boro because we beat them to the playoffs (despite Boro having a BIGGER BUDGET THAN WE DID that season!!)
Rather than try to sort out the issues on wages and make the championship a level playing field they just want to wage war against Derby and won’t back down to save face and appease other championship owners who are self interested to the point of being vindicative. We have been screwed over more than any other club because of the ongoing transfer embargoes due to this process and vindictive statements like saying the fixtures are interchangeable. It is beyond shameful.
There is no way we get a points deduction for this breach as there is no precedent.
There is no way a points deduction would be applied retrospectively as again - no precedent
Any deduction will result from new accounts submissions which will be a new charge and hopefully much more simple to determine. That could only apply next season. And it is by no means clear we would breach the limits anyway.
Time to back the club, Mel Morris and Stephen Pearce on this issue

Because of the EFL case! Their case was that simply by filing the accounts with the amortisation method we used was breaking the rules, how could we file new accounts when we had no idea until the conclusion of this case whether we could or could not use that method?
