we have seen that our best 2 signings so far (elder and ward) IMO were complete surprises. Hopefully the Washington talk is a smoke screen for a more popular striker 

Out of interest, why the negative opinion on him ? I don’t understand why he gets so much hate by some of the fan base. He’s a journalist as a job but also a rams fan.

Administration was horrible and something I hope we never go through again. However, weirdly it has been one of my favourite seasons of football for a long time. The fans, players and manager came together. The atmosphere was the best it’s ever been at PP. Everyone was against us and we played like that too. Some of my favourite memories from the last 5 years or so was from that season. Wba, Fulham, bmouth, sheff U at home. Incredible atmospheres

They haven't despite reports. Nothing on their website or Twitter account.
Also, they can sign as many as they want, doesn't mean the EFL will allow them to register the players to play.

Assuming they can still sign players in line with current business plan.
Do agree though, seems that everything was chucked at us at once with no leeway allowed, Reading, it seems, have been allowed to choose when points are deducted, break BP twice and still sign players when we had to let all our talented kids go.

Why would that be hard to believe? At the time he was seen as a coup.

Lots of rumours flying around about this one.

Looks a decent player for our level but not sure I’d want us to throw £250,000 or certainly not £500.000 on a 30 year old, even if we do get a decent windfall from a Knight and/or Bielik sale. 
Not in the age bracket that we all know we need so I doubt we are in for him.

 We HAVE to aim for automatics. Anything less than promotion is failure 

I think dobbin will be so much better this season. He’s got that natural ability to glide past players. I think after a month or 2 of reflecting on his finishing, working on it in pre season, he will be a real player in league 1 this year

Not sure what it is about collins. He can’t hold the ball up, he scores very little, he doesn’t seem to contribute much as an attacking player…however for some reason I still like him 

If we’re looking at loan players, they are going to be kids with little to no experience. Dobbin has had a years experience and will only get better. That’s how football works at 19 years old. You can’t expect to have players who have had great seasons in league 1 signing for us, they’ll be taking the step up to the champ 

Some of their contributions were minimal. I’ve raised this point many time before, regardless of his frustrating lack of finishing Dobbin had a direct hand in us collecting points last season. He scored 3 and assisted 4 in the league during his first season of men’s football. He had raw pace and the ability to panic defences. Whilst he definitely could have done more given the chances he wasted, there’s plenty of reason to believe a 20 year old with those raw talents could improve. 
We might find better loan options, or at least more consistently effective ones, but he wasn’t the disaster some people like to paint him as. 

He is the one I would have been considering a loan again with a view to a permanent transfer 

I’d definitely take Dobbin back if we can. He has potential and think he will be even better next season as you say.
