Gerry Daly reacted to downsouth in Match Thread: Cambridge United (a)
Well done Rams, looks like the top-of-the L1 table will be an inverted version of the D2 one from 86/87. I'm sure most of us on either side would have gladly taken that at the start of the season. Enjoy your evenings!

Yeah but you are probably in your 40's, 50's or older. As no doubt are Mucker 1984 and obviously Reggie Greenwood(I too remember him). Young lads like my son and his mates in the South stand are going to want to do it, just like we did back in the day. Stop being such a sensible/miserable old far*

The Club have issued a statement regarding the possibility of criminal proceedings to any fans who encroach onto the pitch after final game .Should we gain promotion and get out of this awful League 1 after all of the ups and downs over the last few years l would have thought a simple gesture of letting the long suffering supporters celebrate and applaud the players is perfectly acceptable .Pompey fans assembled on the pitch last week after promotion was gained and created a fantastic spectacle. Why are Rams fans denied the opportunity after all it was common practice even in the great Clough era.The Club cites H&S worries and seems to forget that we are adults and do not need wrapping in cotton wool thank you very much.As a Club we have had little to celebrate in recent years ,Powers that be chill and let the supporters celebrate and thank the players in the time honoured way.

Gerry Daly got a reaction from SKRam in Ebou Adams.
I agree. Its all about blend. People used to say Darryl Powell wasn't 'technically good enough' but he was a massive player for us. He was very similar to Ebou and did a great job alongside more technically gifted players such as Asanovic for example. Aljosa was just about as technically gifted as its possible to get but needed a player like Powell in there

He's a big pudding and not good enough for the championship. Sorry but there you are. He's been a poor signing and a massive disappointment

Gerry Daly got a reaction from SKRam in Mel Sage
I remember going to see a pre season friendly after Mel had signed. We had been used to head tennis, boot it and chase it footballers for a few seasons but when Mel got the ball he put his foot on it, stopped and looked up. He played with his head up, not looking down at the ball.
I knew then we had made a step change forward and were going places. Lovely to see you Mel

Gerry Daly reacted to Mihangel in Paul Warne
Whatever Clowes has done, and we're eternally grateful for what that, the appointment of Warne felt strange but it's looking to be awful. While tonight was grim, it wasn't particularly out of character or surprising, it was utterly predictable. Promotion or not, he's not the future

Gerry Daly reacted to tomsdubs in Paul Warne
The thought of having to watch another 46 game season with Warne in charge, one way to kill your love of football.

I agree. And YouRams forgot Wilson. I would also add Rooney into the mix. And Wildsmith if he stays.
