    The Foreigner
It stars Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan, but it's the most un-Jackie film I've seen - it would have been a brilliant Bond film (no surprise - it's directed by Martin Campbell), apart from the simple fact that Jackie, and not Pierce, was on the side of right. Chan kicks ass, but there's so much more to this film than nifty Kung Fu moves - and absolutely no hamming it up.
I was spellbound from start to finish.
    9/10.

I watched it to the point where most of the characters were annoying and then gave up. A few decent bits along the way, but a missed opportunity by trying to turn it into some form of space soap opera....
When you find that viewers are hoping that the robot kills all of the cast it suggests that the programme makers pitched it wrong....

Ok in parts but the "Lost in Space" bit does literally get lost in the script. Too many characters as well.

Groundhog Day - Just watch any of the time "loops" from start to finish. Each is like a mini-film with slightly different plot and ending.

    Only joking...it's great!

Budgie singer, bassist and songwriter Burke Shelley has died aged 71....
Won't be a familiar name to many, but a great frontman - Budgie were a tremendous live band and are (along with Motorhead) probably responsible for my less than perfect hearing over the past 40 years. Saw them a number of times including at the Assembly Rooms and (one of the loudest gigs I've ever been to) at the Rockhouse.....
Eerily I heard Breadfan played on the radio at the weekend - a fitting tribute to a proper band....

    The Queen's Gambit - Netflix
Synopsis - Set during the Cold War era, orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon struggles with addiction in a quest to become the greatest chess player in the world.  Brilliantly played by Anya Taylor-Joy with a great supporting cast.  A burner but a great watch.  Thoroughly enjoyed    9/10

That’s true. And seemingly money is way more important that prestige. Around the mid 90s, winning the Fa cup was still seen pretty much as par with the Prem but not these days. Personally, I would take a cup win over promotion every single time. To see DCFC  win a cup would be unreal. Realistically that will never happen.

I went to the doctor and said I’ve got diarrhoea and it’s hereditary.
The doctor said you’re mistaken, diarrhoea isn’t hereditary.
I said well it’s in my jeans.
