I mentioned before but I grew up in the 90s and 00s, when the PL started to boom and games were easily accessible for the armchair supporters.
Man Utd simply dominated, on and off the pitch. Yeah Arsenal and Chelsea had some successful seasons, but between 1995 and 2010, a good 15 year period was largely dominated by Man Utd.
They had an army of glory supporters. All the kids wanted to be like Beckham and later Ronaldo. I grew up in Long Eaton so it was probably 30% Forest, 20% Derby, 49.9% Man Utd and 0.1% others.
On the field they won, a lot. Fergie time. Bullying referees. Ridiculous decisions went their way. Surrounding the refs. Theater of Dreams on a Super Sunday. United this, United that. They were horrible.
Pep’s Barca destroying them was beautiful. And the past 10 years of City and Liverpool battering them has been so rewarding.
But it’s now reached the stage where they are becoming irrelevant in terms of a top side. It’s become normal for the likes of Palace and Brighton to beat them. I’m no longer surprised, and it feels like their chapter as England’s top club is now well and truly over.

I think most fans whose team was 2-0 down at 89 minutes and got a draw would feel like it was a wi  - it certainly brightened my mood!

Downsizing - I had high hopes for this thinking it was a more adult 'shrinking humans' type film. Also stars Matt Damon. The idea and first half hour or so set the scene well. Then the film takes a strange turn and forgets what it's supposed to be. The idea of the minaturisation gets lost and forgotten about most of the time. It becomes quite dull to be honest. 5/10.

    Interstellar
Watched it with the kids, their first time.
    Chuffed that they loved it.
The narrative gets lost occasionally and you have to suspend belief to enjoy it completely... but bloody hell it's an epic film that is just jam-packed with ideas and emotion.
Ironically it seems to bend time so that it feels very slow-paced as you watch it and then it ends... and you realise you have experienced and felt so much that you can't quite take it all in.

Another hat trick for Harry Kane yesterday. That's 2 in a week I think.
Makes him the current top scorer across all European leagues.

    1. v forest 1983 won 2-0 so unexpected because we were really poor at the time also lots of animosity due to Peter Taylor being in charge of Derby against Clough’s forest. I was 17 at the time Derby was absolutely buzzing that night (pre getting checked for ID in pubs)
    2. v Newcastle 1976 won QF 4-2 we were brilliant I was convinced we were going to win the cup that year
    3. v Liverpool 1976 won 1-0 I think Roger Davies came off the bench to score a late winner, it was absolutely rammed my dad managed to get a 10 year me stood on the concrete block round the floodlights so I could see
    4. v Sheffield United away 1986 won 1-0 Hindmarch (RIP) goal, we had a massive away following
    5. v forest away 2009 won 3-2 came back from 2 down to win replay and to cap it all Kris Commons scored the winner in front of the rams fans

The worst memory was the semi final against Manure, losing Charlie George with a shoulder injury and yet another dodgy refereeing decision against us.

I think Frank Lampard was a poor manager, but he gave us some pretty decent cup runs and the victory over Southampton (who were PL at the time) probably ranks up there as one of our best FA Cup wins in the past 20 years.

For some reason Friends passed me by at the time when everyone recommended it. I only tuned in last week having never seen an episode. It's excellent.
