It's just astounding that you can get a penalty at all for running slightly ahead of someone and intentionally kicking them with your trailing foot and falling over, literally nothing a defender can do about it, and some Bamford praises it as good play.

To be fair he didnt have the players to execute it, if Waggy/Gregory stayed fit they would have probably played in a front 2 for the remainder of the season. He tried the likes of Lawrence & Sibley off CKR or upfront together but it didnt work as CKR is a target man rather than someone to run in behind.
Yes he got a lot wrong and id personally prefer someone else in charge but lets be real, injuries affected a lot of what we could do on the pitch. Bielik out, chopping and changing of cbs due to injuries, 2 out of 3 strikers being injured leaving a half fit CKR which meant teams could stifle our play pretty easily as we had no plan B really other than CKR or an unnatural striker.

They lost 1-0, goal in the first half. Nothing game tbh,.
Ebosele came on at half time, did well in his 1 on 1 defending as usual, didn't really get any opportunity to get forward.
Watson came on after about 80 mins, at which point Ebosele got pushed upfront. I don't really get it tbh, can't see him having a career upfront, seems a waste.
Couple of decent passes from Watson (one to Ebosele I think) but nothing of any real signficance happened in the 2nd half, so nothing more to say than that.

    1. Yes - No worries at all.
I want the whole day out back. The visit to the pubs, the hubbub of voices (even the annoying ones talking poo), an online argument about the team selection distracting me from my pint and leading to me necking it before leaving to go to the match; the sobering (in the positive sense) walk to the ground in the fresh air (occasionally interrupted by burger van fumes) whilst scoffing a sausage roll or something; the getting annoyed at the clueless gobshites around me at the game (it's just not the same in the forum); the walk back with spirits lifted after a surprisingly decent result, even the walk back after a crap result and wanting to kick every lamppost along the way. All of it.
    2. N/A - I wouldn't be attending games regardless of the virus.
I very rarely go to away games, but if I did then the answer would be the same as question 1.

I hear what ur saying and partially agree.
I think his game is more one demiensional than waghorns, I mean waghorn can play out wise or through the middle and although last season was largely a write off for him historically at this level he has shown competence in both those roles, I would say waghorns game is a little more rounded because of that
cocus style for someone like Marriott was totally the anti style of how he would socire his goals
look at that Norwich away winner, as I said the Leeds goals
he’s on the shoulder of the last man ... it’s hard to do that when that last man is about 18 yards from goal and there’s 10 men infront of him cos our ponderous play had allowed the opposition to re group
I’m not saying Marriott will be a success here but if he had a style ... and I mean see his goals for the posh too I would have him in that category
