He may play more like Edison (Thomas) it's been that long since anyone's seen him on a football pitch!
A 38 year old keeper who's only made 6 appearances in 3 seasons having previously spend the vast majority of his career at Championship level probably isn't going to be much use to us.
 

He was playing really well just before he left. I seem to remember him having a brilliant game away at Birmingham, which I think might have been his final game.

I wouldn't say I was happy to see the back of Russell, but I felt at the time we needed a lot better for where we wanted to be (at that time). I think the opportunity to be a bit of a flat-track bully has helped him get a bit of his confidence back, but ultimately he's still operating with the same hardware so I wouldn't want him back at this point - on inflated wages. 
It would be good to see him back in England - or even Scotland. I'd like to see what he could do in the SPL.

I can't see any realistic way how that could possibly be true. If the multiple bidders part is true, then that's good news, I just hope Mel is able to get a credible buyer this time.
However I really cannot see the EFL even being able to hint at reducing whatever punishment we receive if Mel sells up quickly. Firstly, there is no indication that we would definitely get a points deduction, it's just one of numerous possibilities. Secondly, the points deduction is not something that can, or should, be made up on the spot. As much as they may like to, the EFL Gods cannot sit in their Ivory tower and think "hmm, Mel Morris? We'll hit him with the maximum penalty!" purely because he's caused a stir in the past and there's ill feeling. Penalties are based on facts. It can't be impacted by having a favourable, or unfavourable owner.
The Club should be sold for the good of the Club. I really hope being stung twice publicly will encourage Mel to really want to choose the best person for our future, however the indication that he could almost be blackmailed into rushing a sale through so we only get deducted 3 points rather than 9 for example, is absolutely farcical and sounds like it should be illegal.

I was waved in by the car park marshal, having already seen the plethora of one way arrows/exit only signs etc, and promptly reversed into the first parking bay, immediately adjacent to the entrance to my rows of parking bays.
I then sat and waited for Muckerette to go in and have her jab.  I was there a good ten minutes, and witnessed 7... count them... SEVEN... drivers attempt to go out the wrong way.  And that was from my pair of rows only!
The marshal had to stop incoming traffic, then point the drivers out from the rows (the wrong way), then left turn away from the entrance/incoming traffic, so they could get back on track and re-join the one way system, all whilst waving his arm in a very large scale anti-clockwise rotation, ending with a high, long point towards the far side of the car park/Arena!
Personally, I'd have got "Jobsworth Syndrome", denied them any egress through the access point, made them do a multi-point turn within the car park itself, whilst videoing them, and downloading to YouTube!  ?

I've already pretty much stopped watching any football that doesn't have some impact on / link to Derby so I expect there's every chance I could stop watching it altogether.

Why exactly are you so desperate to believe the worst that sensationalist hacks come up with, but so keen to dismiss a reputable source such as John Percy?
His last sentence was true - the club (foolishly) expected the money to drop into their bank account in late November. That it didn't happen doesn't make his comment false.
