Left on 91 so missed their goal - up until that I thought it was a very comfortable, professional job well done against a team with similar ambitions. Wasn't too impressed with Bolton, not sure I've seen a team misplace that many passes all year. They looked tidy at times but lacked any sort of threat. Their goalkeeper and centre halves were terrible with the ball.
    Couple of notable points against "better" opposition;
Curt and Fozzy didn't look comfortable with the ball at their feet, the sooner we get Cashin back the better. They dealth with everything in the air perfectly.
Hourihane and Bird were anonymous at times. I thought Bolton's midfielders won the battle, they just didn't have any quality. It was a game of badminton at times in the second half and Hourihane and Bird were the net. Top class finish from the former though to wrap the game up.
Knight was very good. As was Barks. Onto the next, great win.

I think you can just go to the ticket collections window and ask them to print one off for you.
They just don't promote it as most people wouldn't then bother printing it off themselves and they'd end up with massive queues.

I clearly misjudged the crowd in this thread, I'll talk now ? (probably too much)
I've always just gone for medium/small hatchbacks and tried to go for 'reliable' manufacturers (maybe just reliable in my head) but with an eye for something a little different or extra so I didn't just feel I got the basic package.
1st car - 2005 Vauxhall Astra (1.7 Diesel, the leather heated seats fulfilled 'extras') - turbo went, got rid ASAP after fixing it.
2nd car -  2011 Volvo C30 (2.0, Petrol) - didn't see many about, liked the body shape, liked it for speed but the lack of fuel efficiency was killing me.
3rd car - 2013 Seat Leon (1.6, Diesel) - Technology Pack so LED headlamps & other small differences - Nothing wrong with it, I just thought that it's coming up to 10 y/o, I've had it nearly 6, it's due a service in March, but still holds some decent value for part exchange so why keep it and pay out more in maintenance only to get rid of it 6 months later?
I think the idea of getting a crossover SUV came into my head when seeing a couple of Ford Pumas out and about in the past year, but always somewhere in the back of my mind I've thought that I want a Mazda. I'd walked past Beechwood Mazda (Siddals Road) so many times on the way to the pub/football and thought to myself that they looked really cool cars and I'd quite like one.
It turns out the Mazda I have bought started its life out at that very dealership, so there's a chance I was eyeing up the exact car I've ended up buying all the way back in 2017. Or not. Probably not. It's a nice idea though.
Anyway... it's a 2017 Sport Nav, 1.5 Diesel - Manual, always had manuals) has the leather interior I've missed and a few extra features I haven't had before (reversing camera / sensors... even metallic paint is something I'm enthusing over), and body shape I love the look of. Other cars I've looked at in my budget just don't appeal in the same way, it was this or stick with the Seat.
The test drive was funny, it's one of those cars with the accelerator pedal on the floor, and it's got a 6 speed gear box, keyless ignition. All new things to me. Also of course it's higher than any car I've driven (but crucially no longer or wider than the Seat) so the roundabouts were fun...  I'll stop blathering on now, sorry!

Nowt wrong with them. We were looking at them and Ford Pumas last year for Mrs Wolfie and we probably would have got one but the right mix of heated this and powered that in an automatic weren't available for her.
We ended up with a Hyundai Kona - which is also a good car (if slightly odd looking from the front IMO)

Just set in motion swapping my 2013 Seat Leon for a Mazda CX-3.
Not going to say anything beyond that because, for some reason, I always feel like talking about car buying decisions (or any high-ticket item tbf) on the internet just attracts trolls telling you all the ways they think you've got it wrong, should have done this that or the other, anything to give you buyer's remorse.
(Whether that's true of this board/thread I don't know, I just don't like opening myself up to criticism!)

Only ever heard bad things. Described by a West Brom supporter last season as the most useless centre forward he'd ever seen play for the club and it being a complete mystery why he was getting picked ahead of others when the team needed goals (and they had someone better on the bench)
Actually that's the only thing I've ever heard, and from a West Brom fan.
He'll probably turn up here and bag 15 goals as we remain undefeated for the rest of the season and go on a 12 match winning run to close it out.

I gave the appropriate credit where due. We work harder than others and we have more quality.
As for other teams failure to get back up, you'd have to ask their fans.
At a guess, unlike us they were relegated because they didn't have a very good team, big squads, wages too high and a lot of deadwood that needed clearing out before they could move forward, while carrying a lot of negative energy from the relegation season.
We on the other hand pretty much had a fresh start. Despite all the s*** that went down, last season was one of unity, fighting against the odds - we've carried a fair bit of that  through to this season.
Even with our restrictions we still had the ability to bring in players most teams in the division wouldn't be able to afford the wages of.
Not that other teams failures are even relevant - League One in 2022/23 isn't the same league they were playing in. It's changed a lot since the teams mentioned came down.
What people expected it to be like and what it's actually like are miles apart. Instead of big strong physical teams trying to kick us to bits us and aerially bombard our backline most teams actually try to play football now - it's just that they're not very good at it!
We were warned that teams would be desperate to beat us and up their game to suit... well they bloody haven't.
Why did we slip up at Charlton & Lincoln? A failure to take multiple chances (if we had a fit McGoldrick it may have been a different matter) and a team who were fitter than one who started the season 2 weeks behind everyone and we're trying to bed in a whole new squad during a busy schedule of games, perhaps?
Point stands, we're doing very well, but not really a great deal more than we should expect when you actually look at the league for what it is.

I'm not describing "the support" (of which I am part, as are 99% of posters) for Warne as cultish, I'm describing the attitude (which you've very much contributed to) that anyone talking about what he's done so far in anything other than reverential terms is somehow a doubter, being negative and not getting on board.
It's utter b*******, but it's exactly the attitude you've pushed here. Your entrance into the thread was telling people what they should have thought, praising people for 'converting' into believers. Everything positive under Warne is put down solely to his influence. Brailsford has basically just called for a Utopian view. Very much religious / cult vibes!
Is it 'a bit much'? Maybe, but it's supposed to be, it's tongue in cheek, a bit of hyperbole... and yet somehow it's increasingly accurate!
Nobody anywhere has said it's wrong to be supportive of Warne, happy with our performances or positive about our form and future. Please stop trying to make out they have.
I support Warne, I'm positive he's the right man to get us back to the Championship and I think he's doing a good job (which I've said many times). I'm happy that the club is on the up again. I can only apologise if I and a few others are not displaying it in a manner which is enough for you.
I'm really sorry for taking a step back, putting our good form into context and not giddily joining the conga line. I'm sorry that you somehow see that as being negative and unsupportive rather than keeping a realistic view.
I promise for the next appointment that I'll just take whatever the popularist view is and run with that. I mean, it's a lot less hassle, as you've found out.

I apologise if I have made you or anyone else for that matter feel uncomfortable or as if your views were not valid or in some ways inferior. Perhaps my original post on the thread was more antagonistic than I first realised. Again, I apologise.
There’s nothing wrong with differing views or indeed a dash of realism here and there, but honestly I think most can see the reality of the situation.

If you are not convinced by Warne, that is fair enough. He still has work to do and plenty to prove.
Describing the support for him as verging on a cult and suggesting people are being shamed for not falling in line seems a bit much, mind you.
By comparison, those who doubted (or as you put it, critiqued) Rooney, Rosenior and Cocu and were arguably right in doing so were on the receiving end of much worse than we’ve seen in this thread.
I think even those very much in favour of Warne can see that he is not infallible and his management style is not without its faults or limitations and that his work here is very much one that is in progress. In many ways given where the majority of fans think we should be and how we should be playing, you could argue his work has not even really started.
That said, what’s wrong with enjoying the club being on the up, getting behind a manager who has an encouraging track record in this division, and a group of players who are obviously responding to his methods?
If we can’t be positive when we haven’t lost a game for almost a quarter of a year, when is the time?

Last season saw the unity of both club and supporters like we’ve never seen before or certainly not for a long time.

We’ve carried it into this season and I believe this is one of the reasons we’re in 4th place.

There’s not many clubs that could go through what we have and come out as strong as what we have.

I still think your squad is the second worst in the league.
Which reflects both positively on the work Cooper is doing, and the shambles that is going on at the likes of West Ham and Everton.
This season is very reminiscent of 2015/16 when Leicester won the league - a season where many clubs underperformed.
I think it’s safe to say so far that City, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham, Leicester, Everton, Wolves and Southampton are underperforming. That’s almost half the league. Villa were also in that group while Leeds are on for less than 40 points too.
40 points used to aim to avoid relegation. This season it will probably get you a top 12 finish.

Who are you referring to as doubters?
I really don't think you'll find anyone who doesn't think that Warne provides the best chance for us to get up this season or next and avoid the trap of being stuck in League One for multiple years. You may find 1 or 2 at a push who still actively don't want him as the manager, but they would massively be outliers.
That doesn't mean that anyone providing any sort of critique (which I must point out as I often do, is not the same as criticism) of his and the team's performances, or anyone puts them into a wider context - aside from the usual "well we're lucky to still have a club" whimpering - should effectively be told to shut the f*** up.
(I mean, we are lucky, but that stage is over and done with; we've been able to assemble a squad which has enough quality and nearly enough depth to stand a real chance of going straight back up)
This happened under Rooney too - the focus was so much on the position we found ourselves in that any real discussion about his future potential as a manager, any talk of his shortcomings was as welcome as the proverbial fart in a lift. When he left a fair few posters went on to let out their frustration - almost as if they didn't dare voice them earlier - which had the effect of making them look like hypocrites and turncoats.
This whole thread (actually that's not fair, it's only after a certain point) seems to be designed to shame anyone who isn't singing Warne-centric hymns at full-voice with the rest of the choir, whether they believe in him or not.
It's all a bit cultish, or one letter off that.

I don't know if this deserves its own post but I'm super proud that my eldest (16 year old) godson has recently been playing for Ipswich u21&u23's, with the paperwork going through on a 2 year deal.

He was involved with the u23 training on Thursday/Friday and was asked (along with 10 others) to stay behind to play a game with first team, of which was mixed teams.
Henry Partnered Richard Keogh at cb at the age of 16. I'm absolutely over the moon that I've watched him grow and play to the point he is now involved with partnering an ex Derby captain, amazing stuff.

Keep an eye out for him, Henry Curtis. His paperwork is currently going through and hes playing Swansea this weekend. I've already told him if he ever gets the call to play for Derby, he has to. No ifs or buts.
