One of the problems with using xg is there's no one source of the truth. Different websites/analysts have different models and ways of measuring the probability. Some might just take into account the position of the shot, while others will be more sophisticated and take into account other variables like height of the ball, direction of travel for the ball and player, part of the body used to shoot.

Am really struggling to reconcile watching that game yesterday and coming to the conclusion it is a structural issue. Same with Charlton and to a lesser degree Shrewsbury.
I am confident the same game could be played 10 times and we’d win 9. Such is life we didn’t yesterday and dropped points. But we’ll be fine.
Comparing it to anything last season just doesn’t wash fit me. Poles apart.

Am a big believer that if you get performances right, results will follow. We’re playing well, no need whatsoever to panic. 
Besides, Dobbin starting over Smith is a much more attacking move
