Mate that nrothing new never been allowed to park therefore days unless your having tiers done but dad done that in the past and they gave him a letter to stick on his car explaining that having work done on it. No mate there is now automatic number plate recognition that will send out automatic fines, it’s not just being policed by friendly Costco car park employees ! What I am saying mate never been allowed to park there on match day When my dad had tiers down they gave him a letter place on his car explaining this so he did not get a parking ticket. Yes and what I am saying is that people still have, you were allowed to if you were a member under the pretence of shopping in Costco, however now you only have a maximum of 90 minutes if you are a member, if you stay for longer than 90 minutes you will get a ticket, even if you are a member ! That is what people need to know ! If they are members and have been parking there ! I got a ticket myself when I first started taking grandson with me (His legs too little to walk it from our house). Very first time I tried it, I got a ticket, and if I recall, a £30 fine for a quick payment (Saturday match, fine paid over the phone by 09:30 on the Monday, although I probably had a fortnight before the fine doubled?). Facts: I was spotted leaving the car park (on foot) (According to the comments written on the ticket). I was parked for more than 90 mins (Although the ticket was probably put on the windscreen within 10 mins of me walking away!) I was (and still am) a Costco member. I was fully aware of the displayed rules, and the fact that I was about to break them... I just fancied chancing my arm/calling their bluff! I was, and remain, guilty as charged. Not to leave the car park on foot etc". Pretty certain there was no 90 min limit back then (Even I wouldn't have risked it, if there had). If you believe (or know as fact) that folk have been parking there for years, maybe I was just unlucky, that a member of staff saw me & grandson waltz off stadium-bound? I do, however, now walk back that way, and have often wondered whether those leaving the car park adorned in Rams replica shirts have just been picked up by spouse/other, or whether the jammy gits have parked up for the match, and got away with it. I try not to ponder too long, particularly on the latter possibility, as it starts my blood pressure off! Thirty b45t4rd quid! ? ? Oh... and on behalf of others... Thanks for the heads up, @loweman2. And of course, this will also affect those (Costco customers) that have no interest in football, and wouldn't even know when matchday was! Not had the email myself as yet. I'll check with my gaffer in the morning whether he's had his... he only knows about matchdays if he asks me! He's rarely out of there within 90 mins! ?
