    Yes from me.
If there’s a place for Craig Forsyth in this squad there certainly is for Chrissy. The Beccles Baggio, bring him home.

    Not at all.
Just jumped in head first this morning I think mate. We’ve got weeks until the season starts and if we have to go with what we have - so be it. It was always going to be a quiet week with everyone away, would hope a few rumours begin to surface next week.
Plenty to be upbeat about. Another chance to see the new lads and the young uns tomorrow.

I think we just can't avoid the fact he's out of sorts. It was always a gamble after the injury and then no match fitness coming into this series and so far it's backfired. The catches, the Green stumping, excessive byes, going walkies out his crease and his mediocre at best batting all accumulate into a pretty poor series so far for Johnny. Stokes and Baz are hoping he can redeem himself in the last two where hopefully he's a bit sharper and better with the bat. If anyone can put together a couple of series winnings innings it's him.
The safe thing to do would have been to go to Foakes but when has this England team every been about safe.
Root's our best player and currently the 5th highest run scorer in the series - a statistic which will define his continued inclusion in the team, not his catching. His hands have been shoddy all series though which shouldn't be forgotten.

36.51 overall test average. I guess his current test series form is where the 24 comes from?
Stokes has spoken often they are a tight unit, I’d heard Foakes was pretty miffed at missing out and as has been mentioned surely it’s worth picking him for Stokes Foakes and Woakes in the same team. Not quite ‘The batsman’s Holding, the bowlers Willey’ but not gonna happen now

Or you could flip it the other way and say you get out of this division with the oldest squad in the league! (Wednesday).
You can have older players if they're capable. Whilst Fozzy, Davies, Steaman and co were all absolute heroes, they were all way past their peak and could barely run at times. 28-31 year old signings don't worry me at all as long as they're the right fit.

He won't be the only striker we sign.
Plus by all accounts he works his arse off.

Mr Tibbs reacted to Leicester Ram in NFL 2023 Season
    Hello Chaps
Apologies for the long term absence, been a fairly tumultuous couple of years off the pitch for Leicester Ram unfortunately
The Dynasty league was something I was very happy to do when I was basically unemployed
I’m now exhaustingly employed, living in London and have been dealing with a lot of really unfortunate family/personal life stuff - it’s not a environment which is conducive to the rigours of fantasy football commissionership
Sadly, I’ve lost a lot of interest in the NFL and now Derby. Been a tricky few years and what really put the nail in the coffin was that my uncle, who was the person who got me into football, made me a Derby fan and I had my season ticket with, unfortunately died of a heart attack in April - it’s been pretty devastating
I quite frankly (and this is no reflection on any of you who are all a great laugh and have always been a pleasure to deal with) couldn’t give a f*** anymore
I’m just not really interested in dealing any of this and hope people understand. I was going to see how I felt closer to the start of the season and see if I wanted to pick it up again but I’m on a much needed holiday this week and have had a bit of time to think about a few things - I know that I won’t want to do it again. I feel bad because it’s really not *that* much effort but I’m a wasted spot in the league and the past season really reflects that , I would feel very bad for whoever takes my team on lol
I know there were others in the league who weren’t interested in carrying on as well so I would suggest that either:
Someone else can take my spot as commissioner and can find owners for the other teams
Or I’ll nuke the league and you guys can start fresh with potentially a smaller group of the committed ones? That’s what I’d suggest, you’ll have the fun of a draft and maybe have more of a laugh with 8 of you having a better share of the players?
Apologies to those who put together some great teams and were looking forward to it continuing, I wish things were different - I owe you a beer if I ever meet you in the Brunny!
    Cheers
@David @Carnero @Ambitious @jimbo jones @Mr Tibbs and all the others in the league

Didn't really like Brook at 3 but I expected him to last a bit longer than that.
Root facing the 32nd ball of the innings at No. 4 - not great.

However positively you play it, Test Match Cricket has always had an element of knowing when to put the hammer down and when to slowly grind the fight out of the opposition. It was a great start, positive, but not suicidal and we just needed more of the same to be right in it but they totally folded.

It's not helped by the fact that several players seem to be well below par and you know that you can't be anything but your best against the Aussies. This is set for a crushing defeat. Aussies have a 200 lead with 9 wickets in hand. They can pretty much pick their declaration target and I imagine that it'll look like batting on a minefield by time time England get out there again.
    Really, really disappointing stuff.

I think Dom Sibley is more dimensional than what we've seen over the past 24 hours.
If they took the ignorance and utter brainless approach out of Bazball it would be fine. You can be aggressive without taking on a stupid amount of risk. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the way Crawley and Duckett built our innings with a run rate of 5. What came after was kamikaze.
The best teams have to be adaptable regardless of how they want to play and what we've seen has been far from that. We were in such a good position, Aussie bowlers not looking threatening and then we turned it into one-dimensional cack. For how bad Sibley, Burns and co. were they didn't get spanked at home in an Ashes series - something which is now on the cards.
It's going to take a lot of rain or a Headingley 2019 to get us out of this mess.

Like most footballers, he’s just a bloke making decisions based on factors that people in a forum aren’t even seeing.  I guarantee he has more regrets/frustrations how this has panned out than anyone commenting, Good luck Krystian.

I think we all have to ask ourselves what we would do in his situation. I believe the answer is we would all do the exact same thing as he has done. Football is business- football is a profession- and it’s a short career.
    it is what it is.
    I wish him well.
Think it’s a nice and appropriate post from him 👍.

Good luck Krystian had bad luck with injuries but could never fault his efforts on the pitch we over paid for him but that is not his fault.
The goal against Birmingham execution and emotion will live long in my memory.

    This is moving very quickly.
The M2 has been blocked northbound into Moscow, Wagner seizing towns, cities and airfields with little resistance and images/videos are filtering through of Russian AF losses - of note so far a Mi-35 helicopter and what looks like a Russian air force bomber, presumably Su-33/Su-34. Edit: Not quite the scalp of a 33/35 - confirmed An-26.
Unbelievable really! Long may it continue if it spares Ukraine the brunt of Russia's military focus.
