That's great. I went to your ground 3/4 years ago when we won and half of the ground was empty. Where were the mighty owls then? Less than 20k I seem to remember. Absolutely embarrassing.

I think two words define this season: fine margins. Since February, we’ve fallen on the wrong side of them every time. 
The players gave everything today and the performance was a creditable one. The game hinged on one mistake and sometimes in football that’s all it takes.
Some might deem this season a failure and the anti-Warne sentiment will no doubt be in overdrive over the coming days and weeks, but it’s needless.
Personally I don’t think at any point we’ve looked like one of the three best teams in the division, so I don’t think there should be much of a hangover if any at all. The signs have been there that it is simply one season too soon.
We just have to lick our wounds, regroup quickly, have a positive rebuild over the summer and go out and finish in the top two in 23-24.
Not going into the Championship with this group of players and under financial restrictions could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
I said this a few weeks ago and the sentiment remains - this is where Warne’s work really starts.

Are we able to get the local Derby MP to investigate the EFL and the administrators? Use their parliamentary privilege? If he is found guilty then this clearly demonstrates the lack of process when vetting a new potential owner. They were so close to letting this through. 
I praise Mr Clowes even more for being professional with the EFL and rebuilding the relationship. I don't think 99% of DCFC supporters would have the patience and right headspace to deal with that horrible, parasite ridden, corrupt organisation.

One of the biggest lessons I'll teach my kids is you have to respect people's lives and how they want to be treated. 
What has definitely been noticeable since the era of social media began is people not treating other people's opinions and beliefs respectfully. I wouldn't post something on the internet to somebody that I wouldn't say in person. I've been guilty in the past of being far too harsh to a stranger on a forum such as this without stopping to realise if my thoughts were out of line. It's a difficult tightrope to cross because as with many forms of written communication, it doesn't necessarily reflect the tone of the conversation, leading to the words meaning more harm that what was intended.
I'm a liberal I think. If I had to choose a side of the divide I'd sway slightly to the left. I know both sides of the spectrum are just as guilty as one another, however I think the extreme lack of self awareness from the left "woke" really damages the importance of what I believe is right way of life, the ability to be who you are as a person. Many seem to shame people who have more traditional values and there's this campaign to erase the past and be entitled because they felt they've been wronged. For me this is really dangerous. 
You have to learn lessons in life. As a human race we've done awful things to others. The best way to move forward is to learn our history, accept where we have gone wrong and use this as a reminder to better ourselves. Eradicating the past and demanding people change their views immediately because "they're wrong" is not acceptable. What I'm really afraid about going forward in society is losing the ability to debate and work together. This my way or the highway attitude is pathetic to be honest, particularly when it comes to threatening people just because they have different beliefs to you. 
If you're going to teach younger children in school, rather push a certain agenda, why not explain it is perfectly acceptable to develop your own thoughts and opinions, being respectful. Trying to wrap the kids up in political correctness cotton wool and changing the narrative of what happened in the past (e.g. changing words in kids literature) isn't fair. You're selling them a fake Truman Show lifestyle where everything is all fluffy, lovely and kind. Don't expose them to such extreme agendas and lead them down one certain path. When they're younger you can educate them it's okay if you're different individual, you don't have to follow a formula. But don't force feed ideologies from the hard left or right. Find a balance.

You're losing it - both the issue and the ability to discuss it in an adult fashion, rather like some of the activists who are doing so much to poison the water for people who actually do have gender dysphoria by using threats of violence and worse against women who are opposed to their extreme ideology. Thank goodness at least the World Athletics has come to its senses.

It's going to be interesting next season. I think Warne football has been very much geared towards being an underdog, hussle and tussle, plenty of crosses from the wingers, very athletic. I completely understand supporters that are worried about the managers inability to change his tactics. I thought when he first arrived Warne was willing to adapt his style to what we had in the squad. Since the end of January, particularly away from home, he's tried to implement more of his traditional tactics and I don't think it has worked. The team looks knackered, once the second half kicks off then we can't get into games. This has been going on for a couple of months now and whether Warne likes it or not, I think his inability to rotate the squad correctly has cost us results. I have no issues with him trying to be more aggressive with the pressing out of possession. However half the lads look burnt out by 45 minutes because he doesn't freshen the team. Why he keeps playing NML every game is baffling. The poor bloke ran his rear end off for a good half of season and we've kept starting him when he's clearly shattered and needs a couple of games out of the side. He's got options out wide and I don't think he's played Dobbin / Barks enough. I put that down to the manager.
I know Derby have been rubbish away from home for years, however this doesn't mean this squad should be completely dominated by a lower tier League One team. That's nothing arrogant. Put the two teams on paper, Derby have the bigger budget and attracted better quality footballers. Really poor when the away support has been superb this season.
Our owner is clearly thinking long term and I get the impression he's very happy with Warne at the helm, regardless of if the football is dire. As long as we don't fall away into the bottom half, I can see Warne sticking around. He's got time to build a squad around his style, which we've been crying out for years. Jurgen Klopp rebuilt Liverpool to his style of football over a couple of seasons. Far fetched I know, managers who show some progress whilst changing the team on the pitch get time. My only concern with a Paul Warne rebuild is are we going to have enough funds to overhaul the squad again. His pursuit of bringing in them "prime aged" footballers is going to cost a lot more money.
As painful as it is at the moment, I think with the rebuild behind the scenes, I do believe the manager will come good. Whether the supporters will stay patient is another matter. Especially in this day and age of "we want everything now."
