Perhaps it relied on us selling Cashin and getting him on loan to free up funds to sign him? Then the late change in Brighton wanting to loan him to someone else ended that possibility.

We will also need to hope Waghorn continues to score a few unexpected goals too. The truth is, we are roughly where we deserve to be and need to make changes to improve on out situation. Other than from set pieces, we don't look like scoring.

I agree, although I think the Scandinavian market is the one to tap into at the moment due players from those countries being a better match to the expected physicality of our leagues. Belgium and Netherlands are still worthwhile checking out, but less likely to get as many players who can adapt.
Some managers don't like statistical recruitment. Then you have those who will only look at certain data. Warne for example loves his running data (we've heard him pick out Knight and Thompson for this), whilst he taken a snipe at people comparing more technical data such as crosses.

Don't agree with that at all to be honest. 
Heres an example, playing under clough we were a fairly average mid table championship side. Mac comes in and implements an attacking, passing style of play, with the exact same players, and we transformed into promotion material. 
Yes the rebuild has had to be cheap, but thanks to a clever and widely respected rosenior, we were able to attract some quality players, especially for this level. Why do we need to have spirit, fitness, organisation and play pragmatic football to get out this division. That will just make us like 95% of the other teams. We need to be better than them, not the same. How can you say trying to pass our way out of this division with this squad would be a disaster? The vast majority of our squad are used to playing that way and were signed with that style of play in mind.
Why do we have to give it this season and next season to try for promotion? We have the players now, we just need someone who knows how to use them.

The housing market in Iceland is difficult, to say the least.  The listed house values go up very fast in most areas.  What was a value of 54 this year becomes 68 next year, which means much higher property taxes.  We have been searching for a property for over a year now, have looked at dozens of houses and there is always something wrong, the price too high, the condition not good enough and so on.  Finally we found a house we like at a price we can afford, just over 300.000 pounds and in good condition in a nice town about 2 hour drive from Reykjavík.  We get the keys at the end of the month.
