John-Jules looks off it tonight. I'd bring Thompson on the help woth our press and add a bit of pace to recover from their counter attacks

"There were academy representatives who said we think you'll have a good career, maybe in non-League or at National League level, if you work hard.
I don't know how anyone came to that conclusion after watching him at U18 level. In his first year, he scored 5 goals in 17 games as we clinched the U18 title, then scored 2 and assisted 2 the following year as we went on our European adventures. We then almost released him before opting for a short contract the season prior to our administration.

How anyone can come up with that headline is beyond me

Warne already confirmed negotiations are underway - offers, counter-offers, counter-counter-offers, etc...

Ghost of Clough got a reaction from May Contain Nuts in Make up of the squad:
Your 03/04 has the teams promoted to the Premier League. It should be Plymouth, QPR, Brighton - Brighton relegated after 2 seasons

Ghost of Clough reacted to Jubbs in Conor Washington - signed on a two-year-deal
A QPR fan made it as a joke on Friday, this is the original tweet.

And you've got to bear in mind, we could have easily still had the likes of Buchanan, Ebsosele, Ebiowei, Plange, Kellyman etc. The academy setup we have is more than capable of producing a bunch of League One squad-depth players, given time to recover.

Max Dean is a player to keep an eye on. Signed from Leeds last January, but only got regular starts for MK Dons in October. He's now got 9 goals and 1 assist in his last 14 games (including a goal vs Reading in the FA Cup).

Ghost of Clough got a reaction from kevinhectoring in Corey Blackett-Taylor - Signed on Loan/Permanent in Summer
I would put it closer to £12m than £10m. Our playing staff wages will be one of the highest in the division, but I reckon our non-playing staff wages are THE highest. Charlton, Portsmouth and Bolton in the same wage bracket, Oxford just behind.

Ghost of Clough got a reaction from Premier ram in Charlie Savage
He wouldn't be a starter he, but at 20 he's a decent player to have in the squad and develop. Whilst I would prefer Arblaster, I wouldn't be upset if we signed Savage to be backup to Bird.

So update ( although not much of one ) is that my Charlton insider mate has said CBT is supposedly carrying a knock but believes from what he’s heard he’s played his last game for CAFC and said he believes it is us that’s the main interested party as hasn’t heard any other clubs mentioned apart from us
He thinks a figure of 350k would get him not the 500k that has been mentioned but to me that seems a lot for a player out of contract soon
also another note …Dobson there CM looks like he’s on his way as was taken off yesterday and done a lap around the stadium applauding the fans and is also out of contract soon
I quite like Dobson and is quite a tough player who gets stuck in I actually wouldn’t mind if we got him as well as CBT
Charlton fans love Dobson and I’ve always thought he’s a good CM

According to Transfermarkt, there are also 'unknowns' (undisclosed) for Blackpool, Bolton, Burton, Cambridge, Carlisle, Cheltenham, Exeter, Fleetwood, Leyton Orient, Lincoln, Oxford, Peterbrough, Portsmouth, Port Vale, Reading, Shrewsbury, Stevenage, Wycombe, and ourselves.
Northampton and Wigan the only clubs who aren't listed.

Ghost of Clough got a reaction from SKRam in Charlie Lindsay - Rangers - signed for u21s
Last week, some people wanted us to sign a player in his mid-20s playing in the same league. It was a different player in his early 20s in the summer. Could Lindsay not play well enough in that league and force his way into our first team?
He was struggling to get in our U21 side ahead of Weston and now Wheeldon in that #10 position. This loan will at least give him a chance of regular football and spend time with his family.
