I don't know why some fans can't get their heads around the likelihood that Warne and his coaches give a very different speeches to the players than they do to the outside world via media previews and pcs. I doubt that the players regularly watch or listen to those interviews, so saying publicly "we will win" probably only motivates the opposition (if they get to hear about it).

Maybe the all-round buzz at the start of the week is minimal, but by the time the "fan-effect" reaches fever pitch at kick off, the players "get it", and our own fervour rubs off on them.
 
 

On a serious note though , hell no everything is not good and the only way you survive it is keeping things in perspective,,, it’s a day out at the football ffs, Christ knows how you deal with real poo that matters 🤷‍♂️

We got it from all the other posts you’ve made in this thread today, you don’t rate Warne and you don’t think he’ll pick a good team or set us up to win. You don’t need to keep repeating it, we hear you, others have seen the posts I’m sure, I’m openly acknowledging it, hopefully you feel validated now.

We need 5 at the back, a sweeper and 3 defensive midfielders for this one. Port Vale are a really good team and have athletes all over the park and good players at this level. 3 months ago they passed the ball through midfield so we’ll need to avoid that area at all costs. Make it into a battle and get it wide and whip it in for the big man up front. Keep this tight and hope to nick one late on then add another defender. It’s a tough game and they’ll have some fans there so we are probably the underdogs and must approach the game with caution.
