Heading tbe ball causes repeated countre coup injury as tbe brain, floating in cerebralsp8nal fluid bounces of the bony structures at tbe front of tbe inside of tbe skull. So, yes heads, elbows are bigger issues in comparison but tbe daily repeated damage of heading is significant.

It has to change and it will be interesting but yes tbe beauty of a powerful header will be missed.  The game will miss this variation but tbe technical evolution will be fascinating.

Does it affect typing, does anyone know?

  2. Only had the one go... at Skeggy about 30 years ago... but it was most enjoyable, (and I managed to beat Muckerette!) and in hindsight, I'm quite surprised I haven't had another go (thus far).

As @i-Ram says, I'd agree there's nothing not to like.  Requires more skill than may be visually evident to some, (ditto golf!) and it appears to be mostly played in convivial surroundings (ditto golf).

It appears you now have the opportunity, with the added bonus of expert tuition!  You'd be daft not to at least give it a try, imo.

  3. I think it perfectly acceptable for taxi drivers to change lanes and/or pull in to the kerb without prior hint nor indication.  It's also okay for them to completely block a narrow street (oft with parked cars either side) for 3 or 4 minutes, whilst they wait for their passenger to leave the house and lock up.

They have a hard enough job as it is!

FFP is done over 3 years right? We should spend as much as our overdrafts will allow in anticipation of being in the PL in 2 or 3 years and out of the EFL’s jurisdiction

I rated Jack Taylor as probably the best / fairest referee in the country, this game and his decision totally blew that theory out of the water, and most likely cost us the chance of ever lifting the cup in my lifetime. Still hurts, 48 years later..

Going against the thread title, but this was an excellent decision...

    Mwahahahahahahaha...

I don’t know if we’d be where they are, but they would be where we are. They were all or nothing at the end of their parachute payments and massively over spending. That’s why they had such a good squad. They would’ve been stripped for parts after that season and plummeted. They should build a statue of lampard.

Weren't our -21 pts for more than just overspending though?

I'd imagine Villa would have had enough about them to have overcome any points deduction handed out to them (Single figures?  Low teens at worse?), and thus avoided admin/relegation to L1.

Technically I'd agree with you, that they'd be where we are (Championship), but I don't think they'd have experienced what we have over the past couple of years.

Anyway, on a more general note, any enemy of Brumshitty is ok by me, so I wish them all the best!  😁

Timing is everything , always happens when a certain leaning to most subjects is proved wrong , a bit like the ref that lets things go in a game but not even handedly ,,

anyway I’m sure this is now off topic and constitutes bickering so perhaps time to move on

This is an article in a Peterborough newspaper quoting the Football Ground Guide that took statistics from the 72 on twitter from December 28th after 11 games.

Talk about lazy journalism, we took over 5,000 to Barnsley in February 🙄

It also mentions our "Thrashing" of Carlisle, and something about Carlisle being so bad, they've been relegated from L1 to The National League.
It was at this point I decided to put down my spliff, and go and find a dog to shampoo, so I could calm TF down!  🙄
