Disappointed he'll be playing non league. Should have been League 2 at the lowest. Hope he absolutely smashes it and has them near or at the top of the table, with some rave reviews.
He needs to excel if he wants a career at a higher level.

You could say the same thing for pretty much every town or city centre across the country.
Exactly and Derbyshire as a whole, particularly the Peak District is superb.

Something we do need to look at is our ball retention. When we're under pressure in a game like today, we absolutely must look after the ball better. We looked devoid of any ambition to keep the ball in the second half. We got away with it today, but it's an area that needs improvement.
Once Cashin went off we reverted to long ball as Bradley isnt competent enough to recieve the ball off the keeper. Once long goal kicks started it was always backs to the wall as we 90% of the time give the ball away. Up to Cashin going off we were good and neat in posession. UTR

I'm not joining this chat other than to say I never like hearing negative talk about my team. As far as I can see this topic has divisive written all over it. Probably it wasn't intended that way but in all honesty what does the question achieve amongst the fan base on here?UTR

Or is it? I know of a different pub, the beer's a bit dearer, but it's worth it to me if they keep out the riff-raff!
Are you inviting me to a different pub Angie?....Trust you...

Thanks Pimpernel I do get that …what I don’t personally like is that if you have an opinion which is deemed negative because let’s say for example you don’t think Warne is the right manager for the championship or you don’t like some of our tactics …to me that’s not negative …its an opinion ans everyone is entitled to it …but the moment someone says something like that they’re jumped on as negative ….some fans like a certain style of play or like the way we set up under Warne nothing wrong with that opinion either …healthy debate is a good thing and to me is only negative if it got personal ….i don’t agree with every pundit on tv some of which have played professional football at the highest level but then amongst themselves they don’t all agree
I don’t like hearing peoples opinions rubbished because its deemed as negative when its just an opinion
Again, I agree with that. Its just the ad infinitum bit that wears me down personally. For instance if we were in the pub, to use that analogy, I doubt many of us would choose to sit and listen to some moaning mini going on and on about negatives. We'd probably sit somewhere else or go to a different pub. Only problem is this is really the only pub in town.

It does make me chuckle when you’re told you’re not supposed to have an opinion on team selection or have any opinion at all because you’re not a football manager or you play football manager lol
Football over its entirety has been a subject of discussion in pubs all over the country with friends etc etc and nothing wrong in that whatsoever
we all pay our money to go and watch and are all entitled to an opinion and debate on the game the team the manager the tactics etc etc or you might as well close the forum down
some may feel there opinion is more valid than others but regardless of your background or vocation it would be a dull place if everyone just agreed with each other …even Pep has got things wrong and he’s the best imo keep the chat and opinions flowing 👍🏻
Thats a very reasoned view S8TY and thats the point for me, its very reasoned. Dogmatic statements focusing on the negative ad infinitum can get very tiresome.

I'm the only one not being positive for the sake of it. Anyone saying that game was in any way enjoyable to watch is lying. I just want to watch an enjoyable game again.
I enjoyed it. Especially the slick first half football. I'm not lying..

Chesterfield play better football than us with a lower calibre of player which is frustrating. Everyone of their players looks confident on the ball and happy to receive it even in tight situations.
Our football was better apart from the last 15 mins.

Enjoyed that. Some nice passing football.

Completely unfair to lump Collins in with Washington.
Collins is lightyears ahead of Washington!
Fitness or lack of it is Washingtons problem. If fit (which he hasn't been since being here and maybe never will be) he is ahead of Collins imo.

I'd argue we shouldn't be mucking about too much with the team in this match. If Warne has an idea of who his best XI is then he should be playing them together as much as possible at the minute. It's obvious we lack understanding as a squad, we wont build that by chopping and changing every match.
I agree with this. Not sure why a squad who have played one competitive match needs freshening up?

You’re right mate, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czx66dkx3wlo
Back to the football. I think I’d start Fozzie over Elder. He’s still a class act, lots of experience, Cash seems happier with him there too. Elder has looked a little nervy in pre season.
Same here. Fozzy may be getting on but his experience makes up for any lack lack of pace. Ive not warmed to Elder I'm afraid. I dont think hes very good.

Thanks. Unless there's anywhere else that makes getting away easier; happy to walk 15-20 mins (can't do much more as my mate has a gammy knee - old before his time!).
We usually go in Benny & Jerrys for a drink and a bite to eat while it clears. Best to book though.

Hi guys, can I jump on this thread. I've just won 2 Sky VIP tickets to the game on 17th against Boro. Well happy! No idea where I'll be sat yet as won't know until I pick up the tickets on the day, but any advice on where to park? Travelling up from the south, so will be coming up the M1. Appreciate any advice. Thanks
Drive up toward the stadium through Pride Park from A52. Over the river then turn left after Benny & Jerrys just before the east stand and go straight down to car park A. Go on website for ticket. As has been mentioned you will need to hang about for a while after the game until the roads clear.
