Buxton and the academy staff must highly rate the trialists to start them in a cup final. I'd be pretty miffed if I'd played the entire season then to be dropped for the final.

They'll no doubt be another Matlock game with the Clowes links between both clubs as shown with the reserves now playing there.
Warne seemed highly impressed with the Spain camp last summer so perhaps a return to familiar grounds?

I can't recall which interview, but I remember reading an insight into the goalkeeping department and it was said what a massive help Loach is.
Similar to Carson at Man City or Grant when at Man United, he's realistically not going to play but acts as the bridge between the playing staff and coaching staff.
He's working a lot with the academy goalkeepers, then providing that familiarity when they move up to train with the first team.
Then as 3rd choice, I'd rather have had him on the bench (with over 500 games experience) when Vickers was injured than have a totally untried teenage goalkeeper during our run in. Goalkeeper isn't the position to start learning the game in during a promotion push.

No. Louie Sibley is a better left back than Buchanan and he isn't even a left back!

Not a chance, he left the club when we were near down and out and left in the worst way he possibly could. Have no time for someone like him in a rams jersey.

Interesting to hear him say he's flying over to Denmark and Netherlands to watch some players, think we need to be a bit more dynamic next season to get results. Genuinely intrigued to see what kinds of players he signs.

Elias Burke took over from Ryan, he left to report on West Brom, and he’s a West Brom fan so probably would’ve moved on regardless of our league status.
Ryan Conway was great, an Arsenal fan who really invested himself into Derby as a club and a city. Pretty sure he even moved to Derby for the role?
He left due to some MH struggles, but has still produced some great Derby content, including books. It would be brilliant if he did come back.

The missus bought me the book for Christmas but I hadn’t picked it up until we have gone on holiday. I’m halfway through and it’s quite a good insight into Frank Lampard and Philip Cocu’s management styles. Sounds like neither liked to dish out a bollocking which it sounded like would have made players more accountable.

Now we're back in the "big time", will we be getting a dedicated reporter again for The Athletic paper?
I seem to recall we only "lost" our reporter as we were relegated and league one teams weren't deemed worthy enough. We had the excellent Ryan Conway then the replacement younger lad whose name escapes me.
I subscribed on their website when we had one but cancelled when they weren't bothered about us. Always top class articles without the death trap of adverts that litter the DET website.
It would be brilliant to get Ryan Conway back again as he seemed to really get involved fully with the club. He has an excellent book out on us, Pride Before The Fall, if anyone hasn't read it.

I've had a blast going to towns I haven't been to before and visiting stadiums that aren't just soulless generic copies of each other. As said in other posts, the clubs had history, passion and pride for their team and ground. I've loved our time here but now it's time for a return to the big time.

Hi Duracell, we have a pair of ideal seats for you, we picked the seats because we're close to friends on the opposite side of the aisle.
We're stair 41, row kk, seats 398,399 immediately next to the aisle in the lower east in line with the edge of the centre circle on the south stand side of the half way line. Row kk is about 4 rows down from the entry stairs and the seats are on the right as you walk down to them.
We could meet you at the bottom of stair 41 in the concourse or you can just let me know your seat numbers.

    Straight from the horses/footballers mouths:
Wildsmith was asked about rumours of him leaving Derby. He has not yet been offered a new contract.
Ebou and his missus are absolutely loving everything about Derby. He said there are several things that need to fall into place about signing but seemed positive. He is the loveliest down to earth person. Didn’t stop smiling all night. If we need to forcefully restrain him to keep him here count me in! He doesn’t mind the Ebou chant sounding like booing.
Dwight Gayle is recovering well and hoping to be back next week.
Max Bird still very much focused on the next too games, despite moving on.
    Nathaniel Mendez-Laing smells very nice

Agreed on not moving the disabled section in the south stand. If moved, it's essentially saying the disabled supporters are less important than the abled bodied supporters. Disabled gets shoved away into the corner. Going to PPS on a matchday, being part of the south stand community and atmosphere might be one of the few things in their lives that's "normal" so to say. It's like saying, let's forcibly move a few rows from behind the goal, just so, and replace those supporters with other supporters. It's the same principle.
