Can't believe those meteors aren't going to wash, all over Christmas.

Great game United vLeeds.
Whilst it is our duty to hate Leeds they’ve been a breath of fresh air in the premier league.
Tremendous entertainment value.

Advent 2020, Day 20 ! A truly great player who played football like he was taking a stroll in the park, he brought an elegance and class with him when he arrived from Ac Milan and set up a relationship with his fellow countryman Baiano that bordered on telepathy on the pitch ?

My mate was telling me that he failed his exam in Aboriginal music...
I said, "Didja redo it?"

Hope everyone is ok as we approach Christmas.
Put something in here if not.
All the best.

It's all the BBC can afford and it keeps care home residents happy.
I find it repulsive but luckily I have hundreds of other channels to choose from and an off switch!

It’s not about fishing. It’s about life, the ageing process and friendship.

It's the most honest show, isn't it?
Two blokes talking about feelings in a way most of us males don't do, wrapped up in a comfort blanket of banter and scenery.

I do enjoy Gone Fishing with Mortimer and Whitehouse even though I don’t fish, it’s a nice Sunday night programme that.

The most beautiful fox appeared in our back garden yesterday. Proper Christmas card fur and fat enough to struggle to leap our fence.
I know they cause havoc to some but a fox has never done me harm and I love seeing them.

I'm no film buff, but I'm now scouring these pages for inspiration. You are my first victim... and you have passed the test!
Watched this last night, purely from your post, as I'd never heard of it, and I do like a true story to be fair. It helps me "care about the film!" (I get bored easily, and struggle to watch a whole film!)
I ended up with the impression that it was "Very good".
Obviously have feint memories of the bombing itself, but wasn't aware of the news behind it, or this guys story.
The main character has his imperfections for sure, and he can leave you feeling frustrated at times, but he has a bloody good heart, a nice smile, and will never... ever... let you down.
Once a hero, always a hero, in my book.
... so I rate it a very definite Inigo Idiakez/10!

Cometh the lockdown, cometh the insomnia. Bloody raging now so very thankful for this thread which steered me to The Queen's Gambit. As wonderful a show as can be imagined which tells the story of Beth Harmon, an orphan turned chess prodigy and her rise to the top through the otherwise male dominated world of competition chess. The completely entrancing Anya Taylor-Joy takes the lead role.
It's a fictional piece but one so wonderfully crafted one might suppose it's based on fact, indeed it may be inspired to a small degree by the life of Vera Menchik, but that's another story. Definitely worth a watch. I love chess but literally no knowledge of the game is required and watching Anya Taylor-Joy is in itself its own reward. Marielle Heller, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Moses Ingram also dazzle in a wonderfully well-casted series. Joyous!
