It's weird that instead of Radio Derby commentary, the audio feed is Rams TV. Listening to TV commentary on the radio is incredibly uninformative. They were saying they thought Elder was coming on. Though it hasn't happened yet. I presume that means either Tommo or Hourihane are coming off and Sibley is moving into midfield to offer more goal threat?

Or Bradley comes off, we get a LB on and Sibley moves forward

Yep you definitely need continuity to be able to build trust , then once you have that a good counsellor will listen and ask the right questions ,they don’t have the answers for anyone but good ones have the skill to help you find your own answers and keys , it’s a bloody hard job because if your doing it because you care as most are the urge to want to fix things for people and make them happy is very strong

The desire to fix things is the hardest to fight.

As a counsellor, it’s important to keep remembering that the client is the only one who can find their own way through and that whilst they might get a better understanding of their issues, the sessions might not produce an actual improvement.

In time, often after sessions have finished, the client might approach life differently and find a way forward.

  3. It’s sad to read so many stories of counselling and psychotherapy not being followed up. I guess in the private world you can choose to go back to the same counsellor, who may at least remember you.

It wouldn’t normally be the done thing to share notes between counsellors though. The process is between two individuals, and any past notes will be from the other counsellor’s perspective and could unfairly sway the new relationship.

The process has to be entered into wholly and honestly to achieve results. The counsellor isn’t there to cure. He/she/they will use their skills to coax out feelings which may have been hidden, or perhaps embedded. Each human has the capacity for change if they allow themselves permission to do so and get the support to do so.

CBT works well for some, not so well for others, just as some swear by physiotherapy and some prefer chiropractic work.

No treatment will work if a relationship isn’t established between the two and it pains me that one professional should disparage another. That would set me on edge.

I hope each one of you finds the right person to open up to.

  4. To me we don’t play to his strengths. He’s at the wrong end of the pitch. He has a sweet left foot and is a good scoring option but for some reason finds himself in defence.

I know he can’t run but the little energy he has should be focused on offence not defence. Let Ebou, Thompson, Smith etc do the grunt work. They aren’t goal scorers.

Let’s make the most of Conor’s time here and have him lurking around the edge of the box waiting to rifle in a goal.

Will Hughes is on a free in the summer just saying

Yep wages and yep will would have go up

    Just putting out there

Tidy player though he undoubtedly is, he wouldn’t make the kind of impact his fee would command.

He’s neither a goal scorer nor an enforcer. He holds his position well and is a good passer but we need to spread the money across the squad.

Better to get a younger player base and try to mould them into a team for the future.

Agree.  He is here on a two year deal.  At the end of the two year, he and DCFC have no obligation to one another.

I hope he carries on until the end of the season, and decisions from both parties will clearly be made.  It will hardly be on a level with Brian Clough leaving.  More, that's a shame...anyway, who are we replacing him with?...

… and if he has a promotion on his CV it’s good for both parties.

I imagine it could sometimes take 20 minutes to get down from the top of the South Stand if waiting until after the final whistle.

I always stay to the final whistle and to clap the players but edging towards the exit because the East Stand isn’t easy to escape from 😊

I have a train to catch and if there’s lots of extra time this can get a bit tricky. Fine if I’m in good shape because I can jog but I could well imagine many need more time.

Can someone please explain this to me. "Fans" leave their seats before the final whistle to go and stand in the concourse to watch the final minutes on the TV? I fully understand people who actually leave the ground to avoid the rush, catch trains etc, but to just watch on a tiny TV screen when a few feet away you can watch live? Now that's just plain weird.

I guess they’re just getting a head start on the rest of the crowd without missing the action.
Not for me, but I guess it works for them.

  9.                               Wildsmith

                      Nelson   Forsyth   Cashin

    Wilson           Smith      Adams            Sibley

    Mendez-Laing        Waghorn          Blackett-Taylor

I think with three central defenders and Smith and Adams in front of them, we should be able to risk three up front and let CBT show what he’s capable of.

  10. They’re useful to keep in the cupboard for those times when you need something quick to eat but they don’t belong in anything described as a meal other, Eddie, than in a casserole.

Good beer choice by the way.

  11. I think our issue is that 3 at the back and wing backs works fine against lesser teams but the better teams force the wide players back so they become ineffective.

Ward in particular could rampage forward against Bristol Rovers but Bolton didn’t allow that.

Whilst it’s great to keep a settled side, you sometimes have to play the best system for the opposition.

We do just about have the personnel to do that. Our challenge will be where the goals come from. We have to hope that NML re-finds his form and that Collins’ return isn’t too far away.

Can’t see Waghorn producing much more than bruises.

    But you never know!

If it is a hamstring injury, why was he on the pitch joining in after match celebrations, sure it was him, though was wearing a jacket with a hood on

He’s still got to walk. I don’t think he would have done any additional damage and indeed keeping it moving probably helps.

Let’s hope it doesn’t keep him out for too long.

I was going to ask how did we play and did we deserve it. But, who give a f***. This league is renowned for being a tough one to get out of. We can say what we want about Warne. Including me I wanted him gone. No doubt about it I really really wanted him gone. But the team morale and character is immense. You can’t question the effort. It is a massive win and a brilliant day. Drink it in 🍻

We played like the away team. PW and his mind games. We’re good away, so play like we’re away!

Soaked up all they had and sneaked a goal. Forsyth immense, Nelson and Cashin excellent, Ebou an inspiration.

    Wildsmith made two astonishing saves.

Forwards were disappointing but we did enough.
