The ref was truly rubbish. A fact that didn’t escape my 9-year-old daughter in her maiden Derby game: "Dad. Why is the ref so bad?".

Old school support today, no fannying around, singing in the concourse, massive support for Rooney and the players. Loved it, great to be back.

'Enormous pressure' is being a neurosurgeon, a midwife delivering babies day on day out, or an ambulance driver arriving at the scene of an accident.
Enormous pressure is not worrying about whether Derby may or may not sign anyone ahead of the first game of the season or how to tell people what was said in a meeting.
People need to get a grip on reality.
Derby have been in various messes before and come through them...fortunately they were pre twitter and fan entitlement or there would have been armageddon.

It's things like "how far we've fallen" that I find odd
We've managed to attract these players to the club - Some who will have had offers from elsewhere - All without a firm contract on the table and only vague ideas of when they might get one - We're obviously still an interesting prospect who can attract players
None of the delays are being caused by the club - The club have made it very clear they want to sign all the players ASAP - We're being held up by the EFL yet again

Possibly the most unreal feeling to the start of a new season ever. Usually, for me, it's blind (and unrealistic) optimism.  This year I don't know what to think. We've been written off by the bookies, been the subject of a feeding frenzy in the press, most of which contain no new news or anything we didn't already know.
For me it's the start of possibly one of the most critical and interesting seasons I've faced as a supporter of out beloved club. I go into this season thinking if we manage to stay up that will be a colossal achievement.
I'm trying to be positive. We have some good players. If we can make a decent-ish start, do add to the squad and get the best out of it, I'm optimistic we can survive.
What is for certain, this will only be helped if we support the club we love and stick together as a fan base and don't descend into infighting amongst ourselves.
And tap into the bunker mentality and prove all the naysayers wrong.

I agree he has a lot to answer for but suspect there are a few legal or tactical reasons why the club aren't releasing any more statements at the moment. Very frustrating for us fans and I'm not sure how much longer any of us will accept such a stance. I will for a tiny bit longer on the assumption/hope it means things are progressing one way or another but not in the public domain.

Let’s see this for what it is, a vendetta against Mel Morris and Derby County from the EFL for having the audacity to stand up to them over the TV money and threaten a Premier League 2 which other club owners backed him on, and a vendetta from Steve Gibson and Boro because we beat them to the playoffs (despite Boro having a BIGGER BUDGET THAN WE DID that season!!)
Rather than try to sort out the issues on wages and make the championship a level playing field they just want to wage war against Derby and won’t back down to save face and appease other championship owners who are self interested to the point of being vindicative. We have been screwed over more than any other club because of the ongoing transfer embargoes due to this process and vindictive statements like saying the fixtures are interchangeable. It is beyond shameful.
There is no way we get a points deduction for this breach as there is no precedent.
There is no way a points deduction would be applied retrospectively as again - no precedent
Any deduction will result from new accounts submissions which will be a new charge and hopefully much more simple to determine. That could only apply next season. And it is by no means clear we would breach the limits anyway.
Time to back the club, Mel Morris and Stephen Pearce on this issue
