@Archied Forum regulars will know that for some of us there is more riding on Saturday than securing the points for promotion. It feels very much a tribute to those who aren’t here who have stuck with DCFC through thick and thin.

I’m really excited as I haven’t seen a DCFC promotion. When I last held a season ticket Derby were in the Premier League. I can’t imagine just how excited Daniel would be right now, but I bet he would be saying “I told you they would do it”

I’ll be thinking of you and your dad on Saturday ❤️🐏

I'll be thinking of B4 - I'm pretty sure he's had a word with the big man...

  2. I have 3 promotions under my belt and this will be the first one where i haven't been there in the ground when it happens (assuming it happens - too superstitious to count my chickens). But if it happens on Saturday, I will savour it every bit as much as the others - regardless of the division, its a huge achievement. it was when Arthur Cox's side did it and it will be again when Paul Warnes side do it. 3. Absolute legend - so positive, totally unwavering and, strangely, a constant in life which is unusual for someone I only knew through here... but he was always here... his kindness stood out to me, can't really remember him having a bad word to say (other than about Forest, Leeds and a slightly irrational hatred of pink shirts).

He'll be missed more than he'll ever know...

Much love to B4 and his family 🤍🖤🐏

Number 3 or 4 out of those but I’m bound to say this beauty.  They did produce a retro version a few years ago but I’m not sure they do it any more.  The club website and places like 3retro have selection of shirts at reasonable prices.

That was going to be my suggestion - it was my first replica kit as a kid and I got the reissue when it came out...

While there is a lot to do, how refreshing is it that we're sat on May 11th, estabished our retained list, know which division we're going to be in, know the budget and restrictions, when was it last like this?!?

It's a long time since it's felt this stable at the end of a season. There's a calmness and control this time, which is a relief (to me at least)

QPR and Birmingham at Pride Park in recent years. 2-0 up to 2-2 both in added time.

Unlike yesterdays opponent, both teams were never in the game in the 90 mins, just absolutely did us in added time. I swear 5 mins added time ended up being about 9 mins in both games too. Pain.

Weirdly it's that Birmingham one for me as well, more so than some of the play off ones... The ref was awful all game and it just felt like he was going to play on until Birmingham equalised... 4 mins injury time did indeed become about 9 mins...

  7. Not going to lie, I felt quite emotional when the pitch announcer did his bit in the centre circle - you could tell he meant every word and it brought it home just how close we came to never being at a match again.

As for the game I thought we were way the more skillful side, I was struck how much more physical it was and also how much the ref let go. All in all we were good value for the win.

Oh, and Karl Robinson is a right mardy sod...

He looks a bit small.  I have visions of some 6ft 5in winger or full back trundling over him like Jonah Lomu did to Tony Underwood.  Welcome to League 1.

I know it's off topic but I remember that world cup well - he completely changed the way rugby was played IMO. There were very few players with his size and speed at the time but now it's the norm. At 6ft 4in and 96kg I used to play flanker at a decent level, now I'd be too small!

Saddo of Bristol is back over chatting with them this afternoon as well.

Would be nice to see some of the online idiots in their fanbase learn a bit of humility. I wonder if other club owners will be onto the EFL about a few of these signings- Couhig and compensation, radio silence there but I doubt Derby can just ignore it.

Reportedly too they're going to FIFA in pursuit of compensation for the Lee Buchanan move. Wonder if they're up to date with the Jozwiak overdue instalment(s) yet??

A thought too, given the Retained list showed a number of young players fast tracked- not that Derby themselves have published it, only one of the 92 not to, but on the EFL site it showed their several senior players and a host of younger ones.

Should the Embargo not be Professional Standing, thereby counting the bulk of them towards a 23 man squad. Seems mad that they appear to be under looser restrictions than last summer given the exit from Insolvency.

Wondering at what point other owners will be into the EFL about Derby again, this time League 1.

Please please please stop posting the tripe that t*** spouts... or at least put some kind of cretin alert on it! ?

Our squad based on last seasons 4231 if the greens sign like reported. Shows we're short at left back and CDM.

Knight & Bielik in red as expect them to both leave.

Could maybe move Knight or Hourihane as CDM and Sibley to CAM. We still need a couple of players in the attacking areas.

Sadly I think McDonald has been released now but in terms of numbers required I think that's bang on. Let's hope some of those greens materialise...
