Yes, I was a bit surprised with how quiet they were. Noticed some of them fighting amongst themselves after a couple of minutes & their first song wasn't until about 10 minutes in. They even trotted out the archetypal lower division chant of 'Yellow' - never heard any club of any significant stature sing that before. 
As to the game, feels like we've left 2 points out there today. Were the better side in general play throughout with Bird totally outshining Barry Bannan - unfortunately we were poor from wide areas & there seemed to be a real reluctance to get bodies into the box, something we had been a lot better at recently. Consequently Collins & McGoldrick found it heavy going & they weren't helped by some poor officiating - Wendie defenders given a lot of leeway to muscle us about.

I agree. First half I thought he was terrible then he got better--words at half time?  Trouble is I'm not sure what his best position is and we play him all over the place  so no wonder he seems a bit adrift at times. I've never been a huge fan of his but he needs a fair crack of the whip!

There might be a few players out of contract in the summer that aren't getting much game time wherever they are now, and they could essentially be freed from their contracts to join us early.
That's what happened with James Collins, just a bit further in advance. The seller club doesn't get a fee, but does get to offload their wages early. I reckon there might be one or two we look at like that.

I don’t know why the Rams want to waste their money on an analyst post when  all they have to do is log on here to gain a view of the game. All the club need to do is employ someone who can picked out the accurate view of the game from the hundreds of conflicting views posted on DCFCFans each match day ?????
 
 

Sibley suufers from a lack of ability to shield the ball and twist or turn a defender . Look at McGoldrick no pace but full of ball control, shields it so well & absorbs defenders who try to knock him off the ball.

I would dare to suggest he plays best as a No 10, and may well perform well playing alongside or near to a Collins type or a McGoldrick type.
Warne either feels he has no option at the moment than to use Sibley to fill gaps, pr he sees the lad’s potential, but is playing him in different roles to develop other areas of his game to make him a more all-round player.
Me supporting him is from a desire for at least one player not have his potential wasted by playing him out of position or on the bench, especially when we are crying out for a player who can do what Sibley does. We have a history of doing that, with the way we failed to use Georgi Kinkladze, Will Hughes and Lee Holmes.
Georgi was late on in his career when he came to us, but we still wasted what he could do. And like Lee Holmes, Sibley may never “get there”, but if that is because of how we mishandled him, then it will be a big shame.

This is all under the caveat that hes young, probably has been fast tracked ahead of time and is still very much learning the game, developing and gorwing as a player
but i truly dont know where his best position is.
i dont think hes strong enough for the middle of the park and unlike knighty at a similar age doesnt have that drive or same ability to carry us up the pitch.
im not sure if hes quick enough for the wide births and beating a man obviously isnt his game.
as i say time is on his side clearly just some early thoughts on him.

Great turnout from you lot last night. 
Quite enjoyed the game to be honest, thought both teams played some decent football. 
Both teams are suffering from injuries to key players, so I'd expect us both to remain firm play off contenders when key players return.

Agree entirely.
as u say.. there is a player in there.. but that can happen with so many players . That player doesnt develope. Fortunately for louis time is on his side but truth be told he doesnt have any singular outstanding asset that puts him ahead of many in the role for a first team spot.
i mean if everyone is fit and available he isnt starting is he. 
 
i think warne will also look to bring in others that are either more powerful or quicker or that give us more obvious attributes
