Who mentioned Haaland? Who mentioned spending millions?
We could look overseas, we could use the PL loan market, we could pick up some free transfers that complement the existing players in the squad.
    Never say never.

It’s only my personal opinion that the potential is there for us to surprise.
I am not saying this should be the expectation. I think almost everyone will accept 12th-21st as a landing point.
However the Championship is a very unusual league and there is always scope for one team to catch fire and surprise everyone, even teams with modest budgets have done so out of nowhere in the past.
    Why can’t it be us?

Clowes is a smart businessperson. A new deal will come but only when Warne has exceeded expectations. Say it’s this time next year and we are comfortably safe.
Warne has two years to run on his current deal, so surely you just let things play out.
Dealing with the manager’s future would be a needless distraction at this point. It should be a case of all eyes and all minds on building the best possible playing squad we can.

I'll just say that Cambridge is recognised internationally as a center of high intellect and should an entire stand of the citizens of this exulted epicenter of learning, wisdom, philosophy and literature decide, en mass, that Lyle Taylor is a w*****, I'd be inclined to agree with them.

My thoughts are that it feels like proper football. I’m becoming increasingly alienated by modern, elite football. I watch it less and less now, and when I do watch it, the enjoyment is sucked out by the way it’s organised and run.
There’s real supporters who support less glamorous clubs because they love them. Not because they win anything or because it’s a tourist attraction. 1700 fans travelled from little Carlisle, just to watch their team that were relegated weeks ago. That’s proper football.
There’s obviously far less money, the facilities are nowhere near as good, the players can’t quite play the same kind of football, but it’s strangely enjoyable.
From scoring two in added time at Port Vale, to Wilson’s header against Bolton, to watching Collins’ penalty at Forest Green from a grass verge outside the ground because the one single turnstile wasn’t working quick enough, it’s been great.
Although saying that, I’m hoping we don’t have to return any time soon!

Apart from improving the defence, midfield and attack, raising the morale and bringing a calmness to the club, oh and winning automatic promotion, I can’t think of anything? Sack him

I think League 1 will be a difficult market for us to shop in.
There are players impressing in this league currently (such as Maghoma at Bolton and Dembélé at Blackpool) who are only on loan and we’ll be competing with other Championship clubs for further loan moves if they become available.
Then there are players at clubs who have been competing for promotion, players who have established themselves as top players at League 1 level but not yet proven themselves in the Championship.
Brannagan is one name that has cropped up a lot. If we were interested in such a player, surely Oxford would want serious money for him? £1 million, maybe more? Can we afford that?
Azeez is another one. He’s seemingly out of contract in the summer with Reading. But how much compensation would that require?
I think we will have to get creative.

I’m so happy for David Clowes. The man is a hero for saving our club and to see everyone standing up for him brought a tear to my eye. It was amazing when he lifted that cup. The Be More B4 also really got me, I hope Daniel’s Dad and sister managed to enjoy the day, although it must have been so emotional.
Massive thank you to Paul Warne and all his staff. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he’s worked so hard and fully deserves this.
Wish my dear old Dad could have been there, but I was with my son which is the most beautiful thing. It’s the first time he’s seen us achieve something and he said it’s the best day of his life!
    I bloody love this club.

Sadly this will be my last match today. My first was in 1956 as a 13year old, My dad used to take me before that but he stopped going when we went down to the third division north. My mate and I would catch the 12 oclock bus from Melbourne and be the first in the ground. We stood in the Normanton end pigeon loft, I think it was 3 shilling. To this day I remember that team. We were champions in 1957 and I ran onto the pitch after the last match against Southport, Ray Straw scored 37 goals that season, The next ten years saw me start work, get married and have two children, I had moved to Derby, and after my family, the Rams were the most important thing in my life I never missed a home game in those ten years even though we were only an average second division side. And then in 1966 after England won the world cup my mate and I decided to have a season ticket, Little did we know what would happen that season, I was at work one day and a Rams supporting work mate told me we had signed a player from Bradford Park Avenue, his name was Kevin Hector I'd never heard of him but he was without doubt the most wonderful footballer to grace the Baseball Ground I had ever seen, and because of this we wanted to see more players like him which led to Tim Ward getting the sack and BC becoming Manager, what followed was ten years of unbelievable success and enjoyment. And then things started to go wrong off and on the pitch and I stopped being a season ticket holder during Peter Taylors time as manager, i still loved The Rams of course and when I turned 65 and retired my old mate from Melbourne and I bought season tickets again. But sadly covid left my best friend of 80 years with a dementia problem and he know no longer knows me. For the last two seasons I have been going alone to the match but its just not the same for me. Therefore I am calling it a day, as I write this I am welling up as I will do this afternoon. Thank you Derby County for every thing I will love you till I die.

T'was the night before Ramsmas and all was quiet in the house,
Not a grumble was mumbled, not even from @Millenniumram
But then on the forum there arose such a drama,
To run on the pitch and behave like a farmer,
Or stay in the stands politely applauding,
    Cashin's finess and Mendiz' maraurding,
    The bobble hat's triumph,
the right side of the hoardings.

The club should just encourage fans to do it in a respectful way, being respectful to players, coaches, officials, and visiting fans.
To warn people of criminal proceedings strikes me as mean-spirited.
The fans have been on the PP pitch before. Southampton and Brighton at home in the play-offs, and during the victory parade after Wembley in 2007, for instance.
If it’s done in the right spirit, it’s a natural way to celebrate and release those emotions.
