Championship 24/25 rival watch

Recommended Posts

Oxford started last season very well too. They were even 3 points off top and 8 points better than us at the start of November. They still finished 15 points behind us.

I wouldn't be surprised to see similar this season. Oxford to start off well, maybe find themselves in lower midtabke territory after 15 games, only for them to drift towards relegation over the rest of the season.

Portsmouth vs Luton will be interesting tomorrow. You would think that Portsmouth will want to avoid being dominated again, as they were at Leeds, but would definitely take the point. Luton will be keen to put the last league game behind them.

We will learn a lot about both sides.

Didn't Oxford's mid season slump coincide with losing their manager, last season?

If they'd kept their manager, maybe they'd have challenged for the autos?

Preston have announced Heckingbottom as their manager but lost to our academy side today - apparently a fairly strong side from their end...

Could be ones to watch for the drop?

Yes , think PNE have flat lined a little over the last couple of seasons , moments of promise but momentum lost around Christmas time, not a lot of investment in signings and plus the heart beat of the side Alan Browne has left , could well struggle this season

Fourth  favourites for relegation at 3/1.

Cardiff have had a bad start to the season and are bottom of the league . They are hoping to turn the tide by signing defender Will Fish . Man Utd dangled the bait and he was snapped up for £2 million .

On the ball he's pretty much what you'd want from a sided CB, although still room for quite a bit of improvement. Defensively he's poor - very weak in the air, and very weak in 1v1s

Could still be a good catch .

They’re doing that to replace Mark Mcguiness who they sold to Luton for a deal that has a lot of add ons that could rise to 10 million.
