That £500k could have bought Rutter in 2020 - it's why we need to tap into the foreign market to find these high potential players

We won't be spending £500k on a player who might score half a dozen championship goals in 4 years time either.

Unglamorous but effective is where we're at for a bit.

I don’t know, it was undisclosed.

Hardly anything then. You're such a joker.

You won't know about much then if you're depending on written evidence from the Club itself. 🤣

People write Rooney off on the basis of a short spell at Brum but he did ok at Derby and at DC given expectations.

A lot of folk are inclined to think that was down to Liam rather than Wazza. At Birmingham, with a decent squad, Rooneys record is dreadful. His time at DC; fairly unremarkable is probably the kindest thing to say. He probably won't last long at Plymouth, where the supporters didn't really want him. Very strange decision by the Argyle board.

Please enlighten us with the amount and your source, no discussion, no counter argument, just the fee and your source.

Never can tell the source you should know that.

Oxford were desperately unlucky there.

They had defended and competed so well and honestly they actually deserved a point. Cumming made some good saves and Brown and Moore put their bodies on the line.

They can take plenty of heart from that game. It was just a case of one loose pass being pounced upon and punished.

Wright cost £7.5 million - it makes such a difference!

Thought Oxford's keeper looked excellent too.

Glad Coventry won, but spirited performance by Oxford who went with the old guard again. I think once they start blooding their new talent then we will get an indication of what they will be this season - definitely competitive regardless.
