It seems to be a strange time for Charlton to be splashing the cash, teams doing so are usually in the promotion race or facing relegation, they seem to be unlikely to be involved in either and JCH will be available on a free soon. Even if you think that he's worth the gamble of a great contract, you need to consider the impact it has on the rest of the squad and the atmosphere at the club.
